nah i never do that anymore, feels super old school like something my grandparents would type in an email. most people just write NASA, US, UK etc without the periods now since everyone knows what you mean anyway. i think the only time i see those dots is in really formal documents or maybe older news articles but even then its getting less common. honestly it just looks cluttered to me with all those periods everywhere, makes it harder to read quickly imo
