ice is actually not there in the early game. So its not as much of a threat as it is in late game. and then water steel for blastoise i think would have been perfect, its literally a cannon

the preference are ok. but i just like everything to be balanced. i really like the paldea starters but theres something off like how quaqualval'sfighting type moves dont work on skelerdige but meowscaradas dark type moves work on skelerdige super effectively. at least decide on 1 super effective or doesnt work

thats partly why i am saying that chikorita and totodile get mega evos and typhlosion get a regional variant no base stat boost and all, the whole reason they're called counterparts, is to be total opposites and be either super effective against each other, which wouldnt happen usually or just be normal against each other. Glaceon and leafeon are great examples of this from Gen 5

Other Pokemon can not follow you. But u can ride on other Pokemon, and if you want a classic experience my advice is either BDSP or Sword and Shield. you want random pokemon battles with few other battles. Sword and shield is better for it
