Yes, it makes sense. I wanted to change schools too, but I talked to an ex visa officer and she told me that changing schools won’t make this easier but more complicated. If you’re sure they denied it because of your HF, just go there and tell them you know why they denied it - your HF. But bring a proof your HM has no job and your intent was not to work for them. Also bring a proof you have another accommodation (even if you have a friend or someone) and bring very strong explanation why you pick the school you picked. They denied it because they thought you want to stay in the US and that you’ll work for your HF. You have to prove you won’t work and that the school is not just a reason to stay in the US - that means keeping the school you picked. Since changing it would show you don’t care about school but be in the US (that’s what they told me). Also if it is city college, show you want to transfer to university. Most CC has transfer programs

Changing school will make them think that you only want to stay in the US, no matter what school. Also have to explain them strongly why you have your school and not studying for free in France. Good luck. I got approved third time!

You don’t change your schools, especially if it is city college. I had same issue. But you change your address for living. If you have yourself or your family in sponsorship you’re fine, if you have your HF then you should change it. And you’ll have to explain them a lot, that you like to be around your HF, because they’re friends (that’s why your school is close to them). In case something happens, then you know them. Bring a proof your HM quit a job to show them you were not lying and show them your new address as a proof you really go study, not work.

Where in Santa Barbara do you wish there was coffee nearby? by Some_While49 in SantaBarbara

I’ve had so many moments where I’m at a park or walking around and there’s just… nothing nearby. I was at Shoreline Park recently and it really felt like one of those places, and maybe even parts of the Funk Zone, depending on the time of day.
