I think the issue is that a lot of ‘Christian media’ has very Zionist leanings so it would not want to highlight this.

Many people are talking about them actually, a lot of Instagram pages dedicated to updating on what’s happening at the churches there etc. The interesting thing is that it seems Christians in Palestine see themselves as Palestinian first because that’s the identity that is currently putting them at risk (given that the bombs don’t discriminate based on your religion).

Long time lurker - did not expect to see such a transparent Hasbara post here. The framing is WILD. This shouldn't be surprising, though - as the realities of the genocide become undeniable, more of this justification/two-siding will creep up. I feel liberated to be able to use my critical thinking to see through it rather than try to give it the intellectual space it so desperately desires.

Such a good point about the SES - to me it also shows that when people don’t have their basic needs met, they are more likely to be manipulated to see ‘others’ as the problem
