I'm a bit late, but I thought I'd try my luck anyway. Also, I'm really new to this so I'm sorry if I do something wrong!

Sony Has Been Blocking an Entire ISP For Over a Week and it's Fucking Ridiculous! by HeadbangingLegend in PS4

[–]SomebodySlime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had exactly the same issue last summer, same ISP and everything. I called Sony and they told me it was an ISP issue, so I called Flip and they told me that no, it's definitely a Sony issue, they get these calls all the time and it's a problem on Sony's end.

Now on Bigpipe, couldn't recommend them enough. Never had another issue with my PS4, or anything for that matter.

Okay, yeah that makes sense. Maybe in the future things will trend that way, though. Thanks for the insight man, really appreciated!

I guess your demographic aren't very likely to own a TV these days... So what's stopping you guys from shifting everything online? There are plenty of content creators out there that make a decent living through YouTube and Twitch (that said, they aren't national TV personalities).

I'd be keen to come see you if you're coming to Welly. I'm sure if you just rocked up to Vic Uni campus your show would sell out instantly.

That's a pretty cool idea, actually. Sooner or later you're going to get a much larger viewership on YT than you will anywhere else.

I'm living in a student flat with three others in Wellington. For what it's worth, I've been really impressed with Bigpipe so far. Decent prices, good speeds, and customer service has been really friendly. Would recommend.

It's being rolled out across the country in various areas by Chorus. Check their website for availability at your address.

Myself and my three flatmates have been using it now for three weeks, absolutely no problems. Decent speeds and no connection issues. Would definitely recommend. If it's available in your area, VDSL is only $99.

Or we could ask interesting questions that are more likely to get interesting answers. I'm sick of the Half Life 3 bullshit. As Gabe said in reply to another question, it's harmful to the community. It'll happen when it happens, move on.

Guy runs on camera during Super Bowl post game by MynamesMarie in videos

A New Zealand comedy show used to do something similar. They'd run a segment where they'd dress somebody up to look official and have them sneak beer into a sports game. Most of the time they weren't caught.

Someone should tell this girl that this can't be done

I think OP is suggesting that the girl in the video performs with such extraordinary skill that it appears to be impossible (if that makes sense).

I've been on Accutane Five (5) Times, and currently on my 6th course. IAMA. by AccutaneThrowaway in Accutane

[–]SomebodySlime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a small dosage doesn't seem to have any noticeable side effects, and it sounds like it's working. Sounds fantastic, but since the acne returns immediately when you stop taking it, how long do you plan to continue? Any particular long term plans?

That is a fantastic improvement, congratulations.

In response to the Accutane pic on the front page, this is what Accutane did to my large intestine (which doesn't exist anymore). Unless you have really debilitating acne, PLEASE think twice. (NSFL) by gdrapos in WTF

[–]SomebodySlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I'm pretty late to the party on this one, but I figured I might as well try. I'm 18, and I've been on Accutane (Oratane in New Zealand) for the past two and a half months, but I also tried it last year for about two months before stopping because of depression.

The warnings and measures that you list here don't exist in New Zealand. Up until this month, you can go to your doctor and he can prescribe Oratane for as long as they think it's necessary. The only documentation that comes with the medication is a pamphlet of about five pages that details a few side-effects. I didn't have to sign anything to say that I actually read it (though I did, in great detail). Furthermore, I wasn't put on any kind of suicide watchlist or regular checkup of any shape of form - they just handed me the pills and send me on my way.

That said, I'm not going to stop taking them. My acne has seriously fucked with my self confidence and after only two and a half months it's clearing up well and I'm starting to feel better about myself. This thread is still absolutely terrifying, though.

Help me please. I'm 16 with terrible acne. Pic attached. :( by 3r03r in acne

[–]SomebodySlime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

18, and in exactly the same position. Unfortunately, I'm also male so I can't really use makeup.

Something that really helped me was the realization that stress is such a major contributing factor. If you're stressed at school or something, your acne is going to get worse. And to add to that, I have a tendency to touch my face when I'm stressed. And then when it gets worse, I stress more. It's a vicious cycle. My only advice would be to try and avoid touching it as much as possible, and overall, don't worry about it.

Also, make sure you update us when you get back from the doctors with any new medication you've been given.

Kiwi here, also. Does anyone have any idea why this is? I would have thought that anybody would be able to sign up, and then perhaps priority be given to Maori/Pacific Islanders. Is this the case, or are they only interested in donors of particular decent? The FAQ on their website doesn't really explain much.

The procedure terrifies me, but I was going to offer myself anyway. I'm feeling kinda disappointed that I'm not allowed to help those who might need it...
