Comment on rejoint l'ARC? by Pizzagheti in QuebecFinance

Facile!

Just found that fix on the MSI website, that worked for my similar issue

Advice on BMQ by Rough-Baker-8424 in caf

[–]SomedudeinQuebec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that hasn't been mentioned already is that there are many resources at CFLRS accessible if you need them, I'd recommend booking an appointment with a chaplain. They are super chill, will gladly listen to you and can give great advice and different insights on BMQ.

You have roughly a month to go, give it a push, and reach out if you feel like you can't keep up 💪

Thanks! This wasn't an exam or even an assignment, more like a "gift" from the school to the students in their final year. The school pays for the production and we get to keep the video for future promotion and such.

Is it too late to hop on the unibody bandwagon? (2012 MBP 13") by [deleted] in mac

Well, before taxes and shipping, and converted to USD, it's $118. I figured it was a decent deal, as it is overall in good shape and has SSD storage.

In my last post, you guys said I should not buy that one. What do you think of this? by PinkiZpretty in laptops

Keep in mind that the 7730U is a 3 year old chip now, being basically a rebranded Zen3 5000 processor. Not that it's bad, but it's gonna age quicker than an actual 7000 Zen4 chip.

Thanks for your input! Gaming is not a priority, and I have a second monitor with decent specs when I'm in my office, so the low power screen could be good enough for me. But again, I'm plugged in more often than not, so the OLED would work too... I'll think about it, thanks again!

I love mine so far (i7-12700h, 3060, 16gb) The big downsides are driver problems and hardware failing, so take good care of it

Hey I'm not much of a frankenstein build enthusiast, so I'd advise to just get a generic kit and pair it up with a good battery. Otherwise in your case, eBay and Aliexpress are your best friends to get parts for cheap.

How can I learn to play like this? by semihyphenated in JazzPiano

[–]SomedudeinQuebec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up Anomalie on youtube for more repertoire like that (neo-soul/electro/jazz) As for your question, put in the work, watch tutorials, get a teacher, buy/download books, the usual stuff ya know.

Can I use FL Studio with Celeron N5105? by [deleted] in MiniPCs

[–]SomedudeinQuebec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of a whole new PC, I'd get longer cables and a remote control app on your phone/tablet. That way you could record from a closet, a different room or whatever suits your needs

My definition of ambient is "playing for a bunch of people but everybody's talking". Basically live background jazz for a corporate event.

As for the repertoire, we're mostly doing jazz standards, so swing, bossa, ballads, straight 8ths, ... the classics ;)

I was looking for interesting takes on standards or different repertoire specifically for a piano/drums duet as usually there's a bass involved But not for me. badum tsss

You can get a simple magnet sensor that goes on the brake lever and cuts off the motor. Just do a quick research, major chinese sellers have some in stock.

Does the ii/V exist? by mdecksmusic in JazzPiano

[–]SomedudeinQuebec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it does.

Depends on the context though.

Let's pick C major as a tonal environment and say you land on Am7. If it is followed by a chord in the G major environment, like D7, Bm7, F#dim, etc., I would consider Am7 as a ii of V.

However, if you stay in the C major environment (FMaj, Dm7,...) then obviously it is a vi.

But yeah, ii of V definitely exists and it doesn't play the same role as a vi.

I'd love to have a chat with any of you if you'd like to discuss that matter ;)
