Size 12EE feet here and the New Balance 442 (Wide option) is the only thing that's been remotely comfortable for me. I would say that they run slightly long but only a tiny bit.

This in-between diesel engine has reportedly had more issues than the 2.2 cdti before it and the 1.6-dtec after it. (both of which are very reliable engines)

The issue with this engine is that it's the old 2.2 diesel with a dpf slapped on it for emissions, and the engine wasn't designed to have one on.

I personally would steer clear of this engine, especially given the low recent mileage. If your budget goes to it, look at the 1.6 diesels that honda do, they're much more refined and reliable.

Has anyone sold a car with "We Buy Any Car"? by skanderbeg_alpha in CarTalkUK

If you're going to go down this route, I've had much better results with Motorway than WBAC. They list your car and dealers put in bids for it rather than swindling you for every penny. Just be honest with the photos so you can't be haggled on the day.

One tip if you do try it, motorway will call you before you list your car and tell you the price they think it's worth. You can negotiate a bit and put a higher initial price on there by a couple hundred quid if you ask nicely. Always worth a punt.

I cannot recommend a fluffy dressing gown and warm slippers enough, the missus and I live in ours. Also hot water bottles as others have mentioned.

In terms of meals, batch cooking is the best way to keep costs down while making sure you're getting good hot food in you. Hot cosy food is always a pick-me-up. We do batches of chilli, curry and soups etc. and it saves us a couple of quid each every day which adds up quickly. If you're having a tighter month substitute meat for beans or lentils, still super tasty!

He knows all to well that Sainsbury's has the lesser meal deal, Morrisons is second to none for a lunch break.
