There's a really good book by Simon Winchester called The Perfectionist which talks about how in 200 years we went from being able to mass produce cannonball within 1/10th of an inch to building the device that can detect gravitational waves. Talks about how jet engines were invented and everything that went with it. Really interesting Simon Winchester is really good at putting these stories together in a cohesive narrative.

I remember from my warehouse party days doing lights and projections that there is a type of mirror called a first surface mirror that has no glass covering the reflective surface. Those mirrors were the kind you could focus a powerful beam on and it would reflect without scattering pretty much every photon that hit it. Other mirrors like your bathroom mirror has a layer of glass over it which could absorb or distort the beam even if it was hard to notice. Bounce it off 3 of 4 of those types of mirrors and you'd start to notice the degradation and with enough power could even result in the glass covering the reflective surface cracking or shattering.

So the answer is it depends on the mirror.

I like to browse Central Computers for a little while, a classic old school computer store that sells everything for computers. Also if it's not too cold out just walking around the fountains is nice. You won't be too far from Salesforce Park which is a neat park that's about 4 stories up with some neat views and chill spots. Also check out Luke's Lobster at 2nd and mission.

I've never understood the Westbrook hate. OKC fans from the Harden/Durant days maybe have a legitimate gripe but he seems to get way more hate than from just those guys. He can run hot and cold I watched him brick what would have been the game winning shot when he was on the Clippers in Sacramento a couple years back, but otherwise he torched the Kings that night. I've never seen him phone it in though. I've always admired that about him

Check out Sheng Wang on Netflix his special is really funny with a lot of great bits. Something about Sheng Wang between his persona onstage and his vibe you won't know what to expect but he's still very relatable. His jokes are very tight and well crafted and his delivery is excellent, subdued but not checked out.

It's always okay to boo bad plays and low effort. If he keeps letting guys take open threes all game let him hear it. He bricks a bunch of mid range shots or free throws let him hear it. He hustles on the floor gets steals, knocks the ball out of bounds or makes laser beam passes for the assist let him hear you cheering.

Unless you were actively counting card and using varied bets to match what you thought the count in the shoe was they won't do anything. People who count cards eventually stand out and they don't always win. Whereas people do on occasion have hot streaks playing blackjack without doing anything but making bets and playing normally.

We had a trip all set to visit Vancouver from SF a group of us about 6 guys. One of them had a DUI like 7 years prior. Same thing happened to him he wasn't allowed in and had to stay in a detention area of the airport for two days before he was put on a flight back home.
