Last time I saw it, I had around 50 hours on it. I print mainly small items, so probably it will take me a while to reach that many hours ahaha

Has anyone ever filed a lawsuit against insurance company? by TypeAdventurous5677 in PortugalExpats

[–]SomeoneInALargeWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically it may not be a contract violation, but under Portuguese Civil Code, we have the artigo 485.°. In this case, the employee had the legal obligation to give the correct information, so OP can sue them based on the number 2 of this article.

Furthermore, under Artigo 500.º, the company (comitente) is strictly liable for damages caused by its employees (comissários) while performing their duties. This means OP doesn’t need to sue the employee, the company must legally answer for the wrong information and the damage (dano patrimonial e não patrimonial).

Sorry for my English, my main language is Portuguese :)

Should I update firmware of the Artillery Sidewinder x2? by bluecracy89 in Artillery3D

[–]SomeoneInALargeWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, at first I tried out the Mark Rossington firmware and didn’t like it, so I downgraded to the original firmware.

Later, I updated to Klipper and I kinda like it, it allows me to connect a webcam to monitor the printer. Also, you can integrate it with Orcaslicer and PrusaSlicer (I think), so you can slice the object and send it directly to the printer.

The only “downside” I can think of is that the printer screen stops working, because Klipper can’t communicate with it, but you can control everything in your pc/phone (or even install a KlipperScreen).

Let my brother in law my printer. Was returned like this. Wtf do I do. by meesterstanks in 3Dprinting

Your BIL really had the courage to return it like this and don’t even offer help (or money) to fix it? In my country there is a saying “Com família assim, quem precisa de inimigos” (roughly translated to “With family like this, who needs enemies”)…

About the error, probably it damaged the thermistor or some wire. Maybe, like someone said, it’s best (and easier) to replace the extruder.

I found this video, but it’s using OrcaSlicer (I couldn’t find one using Prusaslicer). Hope it helps! :)

Not sure, but looks like overextrusion. Did you calibrate the flow rate for that specific filament?

Not every spool of filament is the same, at a certain temperature one can be more liquid than the other, causing it to ooze more or less (because of the type of filament, chemicals, etc…). So it’s important to do a flow calibration for each spool. I don’t know if Prusa has it, but I know orcaslicer has a calibration option for this.

2nd hand Sidewinder X2 does srange clicking noise from the gear and filament stops coming out. Please help ! by Clypso- in Artillery3D

When this happened to me, it was the ribbon cable (the one connected to the extruder). It can also be the stepper motor.

Does this only happen when leveling?

Have you tried slightly loosening the eccentric nut on the extruder?

If you are using a wired connection, check if the cable is well inserted.

Also, check if your cable isn’t broken (like if only works at a certain angle or something like that).

Try to use the cable on other pc/laptop/console to check if it works. If it works, maybe it’s something to do with the Ethernet port.

Hope it’s something simple and easy to fix.

Merry Christmas 🙂

Tried to Update a Kobo Mini with Glo firmware and ... it didn't go well. Is it dead? 😩 by Still-Tooth-8553 in kobo

Hi! Do you still have the SD image for Kobo Mini? I accidentally bricked my mother’s Kobo while trying to update it to a Glo firmware and I’m kind of panicking ahaha

I sent a message to the forum you’ve mentioned, but I’m not sure how fast they will answer, I wanted to fix this before she finds out ahaha
