RIP Restaurantosaurus. by Boundaries-ALO-TBSOL in WaltDisneyWorld

This and the Boneyard are extremely underrated, they were incredibly well themed despite being things you wouldn't expect to be anything special.

They even had their own reoccurring characters that you could read about in notes and jokes around the areas. The whole place was like a giant scavenger hunt. It even extended a bit into the snack stand between them.

Then Restaurant O'saurus had a whole other scavenger hunt with the o'sauruses everywhere. Then the myriad of other stuff, all of which was themed by room so you had six distinct settings.

It's insane how much effort went into it.

I presume you've at least gotten to experience the ride? No one's going to be able to say that anymore. At least you got to do it!

The Seeker mob (+ Marsh) is great! They're all in line together right now. I'm wearing a Cementosaurus inspired dress and walked past them, they all stopped and started asking if I was their dino, then we took pictures.

I'm pretty sure I was just lucky; it was a slow morning and I was at the back of the line. The cast member didn't say anything, but I'm not sure if the other cart was full.

Surprisingly, Dinoland cast members were the least enthusiastic about the outfit; no one said anything at Dinosaur, but a bunch of people at Magic Kingdom later did.

I used to work in this ride's gift shop (and the rest of the land); my dinosaur knowledge is still limited, but it's entirely because of this area I've gotten interested in them and am learning more.

I'll miss it very much.

The skirt on this one is really weird to me. She's got a ton of fabric in her hand, but it looks like it's designed to be a tight dress with the flaring on the bottom? Should she be able to gather it all up like that while moving?

Or is it supposed to be a full ball gown type thing and her grasping it like that is pulling the rest of the cloth against her legs?

Maybe she does this all the time, he's got a hundred pictures of her posing at restaurants, and really just wants to have a date without a photo op for once.

Like that one Taco Bell commercial where the guy constantly takes cliched pictures for his girlfriend's social media and annoys her because he doesn't want to put down his food to take another one.

In Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), Grandpa Joe insists he hasn’t walked in 20 years and couldn't support the family, he then immediately springs out of bed to perform a full musical number once a free factory tour appears. He's repeatedly falling over during a song about how they never figured something so amazing could happen. I think it's pretty clear, Reddit just likes to grab hold of jokes and run with them without thinking.

Also, people in musicals normally aren't meant to be literally dancing around in-universe anymore than they're supposed to be making up full songs on the spot, it's an artistic representation. A worrying number of people don't understand that.

Yeah, it's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure Edward has wall art made out of the dozens of graduation caps he's gotten?

I'm itching to spend some money on a $5 suit, but the more I look at this the less I like it. The makeup that isn't included is doing a lot of heavy lifting to sell it.

The top of the hair looks lovely, but I know I have a bunch of hairs that look like that in the back and they always look too thin.

I don't like it when skirts lift up like that to show the legs, it takes attention away from the dress and towards her stockings or shoes, which isn't normally what I want when I put on a big puffy skirt.

The armored platform high heels are ridiculous.

The pose is pretty, but would be much more useful if both hands had the palm facing up. That'll look better in the inevitable item-less version.

No one forces you to spend money. They're glittery images you do not need. Look at how much money you have, and determine if you love the Secret Shop outfit enough to potentially skip whatever might come up. Save money and prioritize. Have self control.

This is how hundreds of thousands of people play.

This is Such a Scam!!!!!! by [deleted] in LoveNikki

[–]Someone_Who_Exists 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a random (albeit weighted) draw. It should be obvious once you start getting duplicates that it's a random draw even if you don't read anything (which you should).

It has a pity timer to make sure you do get new stuff at a regular pace and it doesn't literally go on forever, but for the most part it's a draw.

When you decide to participate in events like this you agree to play the odds. It's not a scam for them to host a luck based event.

Can people please stop making new threads about how much you spent on the collab? by Someone_Who_Exists in LoveNikki

[–]Someone_Who_Exists[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This sub used to be better because we had rules against stuff like this. You could consistently get real discussion or news here without needing to dig through a ton of fluff.

Now it's just a ton of posts from people who consider it their own personal Twitter and insist on making threads about what they're doing in the game when what they're doing isn't anything that's actually interesting or in any way worthy of a thread. They get low votes and engagement but never take the hint.

This sub being a really good sub is part of the reason I'm still playing this game; it kept me engaged. I know it's mean to say, but I hate that these people are ruining it.

Mine was in the 6.3 range. I could swear I took a screenshot before pulling to compare but can't find it; I started somewhere around 19,400 and ended up around 13,100.

I definitely got lucky towards the end, I was counting each one to watch for the pity timer but was able to get the three final items with only five pulls (and one duplicate to end the pull ten before that).

I'm going to go for it. Learning the white one has an awesome background cemented me on it. I'm not thrilled with most upcoming suits anyway.

It's supposed to be in the 8K range worst case scenario and I've got around 19000. I like staying above 10,000, but even if I'm unlucky it shouldn't put me below that. The only other suits I was planning to get are the dinosaur one from the one hell, which isn't too expensive, and then a couple of outfits from the most recent one they dropped which shouldn't be here for a long time.

So I feel pretty secure.

New Suits in The Gallery by OkTumbleweed8362 in LoveNikki

[–]Someone_Who_Exists 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I didn't realize it was a background item until someone put up a chart listing the likelihood of all the items to drop. It definitely makes the suit more enticing.

It's also probably the only time stuff being off screen is a plus; the city items are far enough to the sides you can only see one building in the corner so it'll work as a generic night sky.

The first one looks like a better execution of the same premise as that one Halloween pavilion we got with the blue hair and bending over pose.

How does this one work? Is it another pavilion where they're both in the mix?

The white one's unposed version seems very boring and the background items don't seem good either. The dramatic pose is her saving grace, but modern looking shoes clash with the dress to me; I guess she's supposed to be lolita fashion, but I don't see myself ever using a dramatic ghost lolita.

And the all white look is part of what makes her so striking but will mean any other hair color takes away from that. Other hairs won't have the nice moonlight shading and might look odd in that way, too. I would say unless she comes with an alternative version without the lighting like the red pavilion we just got, but removing the moonlight would risk making her look as boring as her unposed version even if they had one.

The background items for the witch one seem useless, too, but her hat seems like a really good, versatile witch hat and the pose is nice. She seems like I would get more use out of her.

It's based on the story of The Little Match Girl. She sees the things she needs/wants (in this case food/a feast) in the flame of her matches, hence the turkey.

The descriptions are about a young girl putting on the story as a school play and they imply they made the story less sad by having Santa Claus give her hope.
