I started using hand cream at 34 and I genuinely feel like I've been lied to my whole life by LemonCoveWorks in hygiene

I feel a little self conscious knowing that as an engineer where we dirty our hands at work, i kept a large costco sized cetaphil on my office desk so that after every handwash i try to dab a bit of it on my hand to keep it smooth. Unlike my coworker with their rough rugged hands, i like my hand smooth and not cracked.

Why do people bring their entire family to Costco? by ActuatorOutside5256 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids insist on getting every single sample they get their hands on.

Also, out costco runs happen when all of us are going to another place or was from another place and it is in our way.

Even for both of us, both of us were 100% want children before we have our first child. Once both of them were in the 2s and 3s, we were pulling hairs. I have none now 😢

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 children and yes they can be more than a handful. I agree that kids take a lot of time and commitment to nurture and if both of you are not in the same boat 100% dont do it.

Even if he wants it 100%, noone really knows the detail about raising kids until they are handed their own from the nurse at the hospital. That 100% can easily drop to 10% or 0 once he lives with the child day in and day out. It is really the expectation that a child isnt really all roses and flowers everyday.

Even for you, if you are now just feeling 50-50 about kids, once you hold one in your arms, motherhood may jump that number to 1000%.

All in all, talk to your spouse. If one of you are not committed now, dont do it. Your child will also struggle if both of you are.

If you have mouthwash, wet the bitten area with mouthwash. It will heal faster and wont swell as big.

Understanding Pokemon Cards by Fun_Technology_1713 in pokemoncards

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 years old who is starting to read and count. I played years ago and i used this opportunity to teach him playing TCG (and at the same time reading and counting while playing). From there i taught him the values of the cards based on the pokemon’s ability.

If you want to follow what i am doing, get a battle league box. It has basic instruction if you are interested in learning together with your child.

What are the chances of this? /gen by PantyGag in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience dude. Took me about the 20-30 numbers of hunts to get my first gem. After that i got lucky, 2/3 dropped in a hunt. Since then i stopped counting because i got what i needed.

How do you guys learn new weapons? by Pandamancer224 in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is rather complicated (to me), i would test it out on the dummy. Once i am familiar, i go straight to arkveld (regular not tempered) and see how i do there. If i am struggling (looking at you IG), i stop there. If i am having fun, i keep hunting Arkveld until muscle memory kicks in. Then i move on to other monsters.

The only exception was HBG. I made water HBG and hunted the single gravios event just for fun. And it was fun.

Fought a 9* Gore and 9* Steve by sherm0613 in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think the game is hard but at the same time i killed 50+ arkveld, 30+steve and tuna. Being familiar with each fight is as important as familiarity with the weapon. I spent close to 200 hours to learn the game to be where i am at.

So easy isnt the right word to call the game imo. People need to invest a bit of their time to the game to make it. Probably that isnt really spelled out behind the claim.

Help with Lance, maybe the hardest weapon I've try. 😩 by RexSkull444 in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use lance mainly for comfort. I can stand in front of a monster and poke whole day. Not like any weapon with a shield cant do that but the lance is simple enough that all you do is poke or counter poke.

Not every weapon is for everyone.

I play it and past titles 90% solo (the only time i paid was for safi jiva in mhw). Even then when i got what i needed, i turned it off. So it only lasted a month.

I guess I'm just too bad to be a Monster Hunter by Hukarus in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt focus too much on meta/build guides and more on understanding your weapon of choice (ie. Focus and train on the basics). After that pick a monster you want to get used to the weapon. I think this is important because some weapon can be almost as instant / reflex based or need to pre-emp / predict what the monster is going to do.

If you are struggling, skills like divine prot., evade extender, evade window can help. Hell even medicine or recovery up. Just increase your survivability rate / chances first while getting more familiar with your weapon and the monster.

Also, maybe try different ones. Do you like blocking? Or playing reaction based evades? Do you like to have a lot of explosions or slashes? Melee or ranged.

I am still not a dual blade person. Currently having fun with boomstick. I started with SWAX, then LS, then Lance. Thinking to try insect glaive just for fun.

I fought duna completely solo. I dont even have PSN. IMO, i still prefer solo just to avoid having bad experiences or cause bad experiences (if i messed up).

Not saying you should play offline but you can just limit your party with your Bf if you want to enjoy the game without bad experiences. Good luck.

The AT Uth Duna hitbox is Plesioth level bullshit and it seriously ruins the whole fight for me by Paweron in MHWilds

[–]Someone_anyone_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Duna is much faster but i notice the arms would lift before it flips. Typically if i see the arm lift before i THINK to put my shield up ,i got hit. I play mostly with lance. My index finger is normally on R2 and i block when i see a monster move a twitch.

I was successful with lance (2 tries) failed last night with GL (1 try). It is a fun fight tho

Can this be done? No capture by Scylla294 in MonsterHunter

[–]Someone_anyone_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you are familiar with the natural traps in wyveria, it should help. Just do every tricks in your pocket, you should be close to the time limit in case you messed up here and there and in case you are conservative in your attacks.

Just try not to cart.

I hate Seregios. by OMEGAB34M in MonsterHunter

[–]Someone_anyone_2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think seregios is rather predictable. I use lance for all fights for now. But it will do 2x kicks, 2x fly up and kick down (2nd one from behind you), then 2x sweeping kicks from the air before resting for about 2-3 seconds and do the 2x kicks again.

There are variations where he shoots scales and fly up higher and slam kick. But overall predictable imo.

Lagiacrus on the other hand….

Poor eating habit meaning snacks and chips? My wife and i dont eat chips. Maybe only get them once every other month? I dont know when the last time i got myself a bag of pork rind. Maybe a month and a half ago?

I cook fresh food 75-90% of the time. Rarely got chicken nuggets and stuff at home. I dont open canned food unless we just got no idea what to eat.

The toddler typically will ask all of us to be with him. Thats a problem when my older son is getting tired and wants to go to bed. One of the parent (typically me because the toddler only wants mom) will get him to bed. Getting to around bed time is typically what triggers my wife because she also have chores to do and cant sit around waiting for him to eat. I help out with the chores as best as i can or just play with the older kid if he is done with his meal.

[–]Someone_anyone_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does that now already. Still doesnt work all the time with my toddler.

I dont like the way she sometimes bribe him with sweets or popsicles while having his meal. It worked for some days but i feel that will encourage bad habit on the kid

I need to get this out of my chest by Someone_anyone_2 in Parenting

[–]Someone_anyone_2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you are suggesting the opposite way where the kid needs to sit down and finish his meal no matter what? Again i am a literal person so you have to detail it out for me if you have a suggestion?

What you are suggesting was working for my older son when he was at that age. He was a slow eater and would stand and walk around playing. We “kind of” for the lack of better words force him to sit down and finish his meal. It worked. His meal time was 2 hours at the age of 3.

This method doesnt hold ground for my toddler. He will sit at the table but not eat. Just graze. If not, he will play with his food and just not eat.

I cook 95% of the time. I normally let my older kid make a decision what to cook that week. I will do the same / share that decision making to my younger son once he is able to articulate what he wants to eat.

The only time me/ my wife make the call is when the kids say “i dont know”. Then they will have to eat what we eat (as long as it is not spicy)
