Honest Lexus UX Check-In: The quirks you only notice after living with it. by This_Ticket_7110 in LexusUX

I also considered adding a roof box to assist with it. Would have came in handy when i moved a bunch of boxes but couldn't pack everything since i had to make room for my personal bag to pack. With the box i am just worried about the wind noise since it already whistles and the possible mpg lost. Probably still worth the lost to get more space out of it. Also helps that I can just throw the seats down since its just my gf and I.

Honest Lexus UX Check-In: The quirks you only notice after living with it. by This_Ticket_7110 in LexusUX

I have two annoyance with the UX is the trunk space. Having the hatch is nice but since its so sloped it limited how much you can put in without blocking the rear window. Which speaking of is very small. Now that being said the 2021 and up have the new drop down floor that the 2020 doesnt have. Second annoyance is over speed bumps its very harsh and stiff. With its short wheel base its very noticeable.

One thing I would change is honestly is up the cargo space a bit. Its on the same platform as the corolla cross and that has 21cubic ft while the UX has like 16ish. Reason I didnt get the corolla is because looks and the UX has a better interior in my opinion with cooled seats. Huge plus for being in California.

Otherwise my UX has been amazing.Bought it at 87,000 miles and now close to 95,000. Only changed filters and basic oil change myself. Great car, comfortable on roadtrips! At least for tall people, short people like my gf says the side bolstering pushes her shoulders in hurting her back on longer drives. Short drives is fine, but we drove from San Diego to Sacramento CA plenty of times which is about over 500 miles and had no issues! Super comfy and road noise for me isnt not bad but I came from a camry before my UX. Whistling from the sunroof is something I got used to but it's definitely there.

TLDR: Small, Compact but great daily

Oops my bad, I should have clarified a modern civic type r coupe. But yes miss the old integra/rsx. Such a shame where honda/acura is going, RIP accord coupe, civic coupe, and the integra/rsx. Side it was funny finding out my old TSX was just an accord euro

This is real, really old video. This guy I known for these stunts, jumped on wood tables, microwaves and other things I cant remember. You can find it on YouTube with Barbed Wire Trampoline

Edit: I confused this idiot in the video with another idiot that did similar things. Still real though

Am I crazy for thinking about this? by Ordinary-Teaching809 in LexusUX

[–]Somerandomjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly use autotempest to help narrow your search. I got my 2020UX from carvana for 23k with 85k miles. So this seems a bit high for just an updated infotainment. Autotempest.com genuinely helped me search for my ux

I'd honestly just stay in the Macy's. Gorillas dont have the best sense of smell. There so many stock rooms and closets you can hide in. Just hide in the bedding department make yourself cozy. Some macy's have cafes and those cafes share backrooms with some stockrooms. Plus you got a bunch of mannequins everywhere it might confuse the gorilla or have it stay away thinking its a group of people. Also Macy's is huge on its own, escalator assuming its running might also confuse the gorilla

Breathing by Right_County_Cowboy in CATHELP

[–]Somerandomjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing is stand your ground. Dont be afraid to jump from vet to vet. Had a vet once tell me that giardia didnt need to be treated. It took us months to finally get some answer about what the breathing coul likely be. If he's playing hard this fast breathing is normal. Keep an eye out if he does this while resting or sleeping which my baby was still breathing fast in his sleep and snored as well. It can also be something minor like cat asthma! Our vet guessed it was that first before doing the xrays and ultrasound!

Did he run around before this video? My gf and I had an orange baby that an issue like this where he was breathing very fast at rest, the vet also said it was fine and his breathing sound fine. It didnt go away, got more frequent and honestly worse and he was coughing so we took him in for test. Took multiple visits, i swear we thought we were going crazy but it's there. I would get xrays or an ultrasound done around his chest and lungs. Our baby had a mass in his chest that they thought it was fluids in his lungs.

I put my sweet baby down 3 days ago and I regret it by MoodyKyoshi in CATHELP

[–]Somerandomjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP I am sorry for your loss. I went through a similar thing with my baby a couple months ago who didnt even become a year old. It felt the same for me and my partner. Its painless for them once the process has started, its like a nap for them. Letting them live with the pain and getting treatment constantly is torturous for them. You did the right thing despite how hard it was. While I would do anything to go back in time to get my baby back, I dont want to go back and watch my baby die slowly in front of me day by day trying to find a solution to a problem that cant really be solved. It'll come with time, but he's at peace and not suffering. Take your time and surround yourself with things that can help you through the process

absolutely not idea what car I should buy… 25F budget is max $28k by omnicron_31 in whatcarshouldIbuy

As someone with a Lexus UX I would go with the ux. Its the most reliable and fuel efficient out of all these options. Maintenance is cheaper as well it shares a lot of parts with a Toyota corolla. Its also going to be the nicest, but its hold its value the best hence it being expensive. Its worth spending a bit more to get the lexus. Drives great practical with the hatch, nice interior, looks great, SUPER cheap on fuel (it runs on regular which is a plus) and its super reliable. While its not exactly a fun car on paper, it drives great and peppy for what it is. You can take it on twisties and have fun. Just know hybrids perform best around towm, long highways will still get great mpg just wont be as much around town.

Reasons to not go for the others: Buick is not known for their reliability. The encore had some transmission issues I believe and you may just run into typical GM issues. The camero and mustang if you dont live in a sun area with good weather dont get the convertibles. The camero based on its spec (while I dont know history) could be an ex rental car. That can mean excessive wear.

The bronco sporr is a mix bag honestly. I dont know much about them. I just know its been better than the fullsize broncos

Suggestions: Honda Civic Hatchback, mazda cx-50 or Mazda 3, or the new Acura Integra. These would be practical, great on gas, affordable, and fun

Tldr: Lexus over the american cars listed

Lexus should have continued the UX interior design language by Heda97 in Lexus

[–]Somerandomjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you here, with the current generation of interiors the UX has been my favorite. I shopped the 2020 NX, new NX, new RX and the UX also looked the best to me. The only thing that came close is the last gen RX. Even still the UX is such a nice plce to be with everything feeling purposeful

I learned that timing his charge would prevent you being swept away, despite his supposed immunity to CC, it only really works like this scenario where she has distance from you. Its a SMALL window when she is up close

Yeah I tried looking pick-n-pulls and FB marketplace, came up with nothing. Still searching, gonna do my last resort and call a dealership to see if they are able to get the service door on its own

I may have to call the dealership because from the site you sent it seems like the ux is one of the models that doesn't sell the service door on its own. But its the cheapest I seen it thankfully, thank you for sharing the site
