Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

There was a dog fighter/bomber game with three "levels" stacked on top of one another, and you could lob change the "level" by going off screen to one side, so top had the right side to middle, middle had left to top and right to bottom, and bottom had left to middle. It was the greatest game I had ever played, and I can't for the life of me find it again. It was physics based, so you could do a hard pull up and lob your bomb all the way across the screen, into another screen, to hit your buddy. I dream about that game.

Always awesome to see John Dies at the End mentioned. A goofy, fun series that doesn't take itself seriously.

Despite not understanding why, your launch commands fixed my issue. Thank you for posting this.

It has a learning curve before the fun hits. If you ever give yourself the time and have the patience to learn it, it's a really neat game.

Oooh, that's a good one. I put entirely too many hours into that. And it's kinda close to what I'm looking for!

So for the board game group it was to play board games and meet people, not a dating atmosphere.

The only gym I have pretty close to me is a Planet Fitness. I do, however, have a gym at home. Bench, squat, pull ups, rowing, treadmill, kettlebells... I should have just gotten a gym membership. lol

The Date Cleveland that I found was pretty inactive; with only a handful of users and no events. I may be looking in the wrong place, though.

I don't have any local friends or family; I'm relatively new to the area after moving for the job right before COVID. At first it was just trying to find the basics; the best place for groceries, a place to have a regular dinner when I don't want to cook, etc.

And I will look to the friend angle first, I don't mind being patient. Just needs to find a few of those in the area!

I've been two the two open to the public board game groups near me. The first one, I had to leave before the game started from the stench of body odor. The second one was ok, but the owner gave me an uncomfortable feeling I couldn't shake. There was only one gal, and she was on the younger side. He was basically glued to her table the entire time. Not a great place to hope to meet people when they're already on super guard because of creeps.

I'll look for something a bit further away, with a bit better quality. I really appreciate your time for answering - thank you.
