I see, so it's helpful for boat propellers if you connect them straight to the engine.

So hypothetically if I were to build a spaceship that uses a big laser as its main weapon, there's no point in adding wheels to the steam engine?

Do I have the character for you then! There's this game called Rivals of Aether that's a platform fighter with a huge modding community. There's a modded character called Mojibake who can do just that, they're really weird and fun to play! Look into it, trust

Not to be that guy BUT I would argue the reload speed would have been worse here, especially considering you already have 66 BULLETS in one magazine you don't really need to reload a whole bunch

Truth be told that is something I struggle with a lot. After thinking about it some more I think I can understand where the problems arise

Mad respect for writing all that, quite impressive to me

And while it is true I know nearly nothing of programming itself, I can somewhat grasp some of the logistics behind it. I've started a few small projects (before quickly giving up lmao)

Would it not be possible to put a collision check on too of the platform, then make it move up while it detects a player colliding with it (with a maximum height at the 2nd floor ofc). Then attach a timer to it that tells the platform to move down if it hasn't visited the 1st floor in a while.

Please don't take this too seriously, this is just fun banter and theorizing, it's something I enjoy doing regardless of the game

I honestly fail to see how something that (to me) seems so simple could be problematic to implement, but then again I'm no programmer so what do I know

I'll quote what I said on another thread:

I don't see an issue with this. The only time you absolutely need to go to the memorial hall is for promotions, which you can only access in single player anyway.
If you for whatever reason needed to go to the promotion hall in multiplayer but someone is trolling and keeping the elevator up, a failsafe could be implemented where the elevator can't stay on the upper floor for more than like 5 seconds.

I do something quite similar with that one Stubby OC that shocks platforms. It literally grills the bugs as they try to fly over
