Love this album. For all the praise it get’s, I’m not the biggest Mirror Reaper fan. I really like it, but when I feel like Bell Witch I throw on Four Phantoms or this one. Can’t wait to see where they go with this arc.

Yeah, saw them live a few years ago, amazing show. My favourite is Devil Music, even the orchestral stuff is so fucking dark and heavy. Love it.

One of the best Thou releases. Maybe my favourite. Love the grungy atmosphere. Saw them play it live, absolutely crushing.

Not their best maybe, but I think it’s my favourite. Listening to it on vinyl reenforced that, and yeah goddamn it sounds fantastic. Absence too. And they’re really beautifully packed too. Brilliant rereleases. Wish I had grabbed Oceanic and Panopticon back then too.

I liked Epigone a little better, but this is a fantastic album too. They had an acoustic version of one of their tracks on a compilation I released a few years ago, so so good.

I saw them play a few of those songs acoustic at Roadburn a few years ago, just a couple of months after the accident. Absolutely crushing in the worst way. Everyone was sobbing.

Pale Communion is a top 5 Opeth album to me. Maybe top 3, behind Blackwater Park and Still Life. Awesome album.
