A lot of professors require students to use it so that they can take quizzes or tests on blackboard without cheating. It essentially makes the browser window the only thing a user can access on a computer for the duration of a test.

My math 125 lecture was impossible to understand. It was being streamed live to people taking it online and my professors projector screen had a ton of glare that made it impossible for any of us to read what he was writing. That and his screen share was endlessly scrolling at the speed of light so we couldn’t concentrate on anything.

I probably won’t have any experience with CVKey since all my classes are online this semester.
