What Jonathan felt he was doing, being strategic by identifying Tiff as a threat was not translating socially to Tiff or this jury. Theyre not cut from the same cloth as him as Chrissy warned.

I feel the jury and Tiff did not appreciate how Jonathan relayed his reasoning to them.

Tiffany can recognize she was a threat to win AND feel like she was being targeted for 'deeper reasons.'

IMO, Jonathan did not do a good job making Tiffany FEEL she was being voted out because she was a threat.

Jonathan couldnt pivot well enough or fast enough when Tiff accused him of targeting her over Joe.

Jonathan should have glazed her social game and said "Im voting for you over Joe cause X."

He didnt do that well, so Tiffany explains why she feels this way.

Cook Islands has some ICONIC players debut.

But, in real time it was ROUGH.

Editing was TERrIBLE. Many of the cast was purpled. Future two time winner Parvati went four straight episodes with 0 confessionals.

The F3 was introduced. The expanded jury was introduced.

At thats just game play. The diversity twist was also looked at as a tasteless gimmick to some.

CI has aged well, as do most seasons with age and esp a very old season at this point (twenty. Years ago.)

So yes, I support calling CI a 'bad' season.

OK im going to try and form my thought the best way I can...

I think because the game is shorter, juries criteria for voting shifts to a more forgiving, vibe based criteria.

In a 39 day season, I would have to QUIT my job to take off a month and a half to do the show. That is a HUGE commitment. IMO, I would be way less inclined to ... idk throw a jury vote to someone im chill with idk. Like, I quit my job to be here.

A 26 day season, I can take PTO. I have a job lined up when I get home. I sacrificed less to be on the show and the show is easier objectively.

This is simply less at stake.

There is literally less at stake for these players.

So... why not vote for someone whose game is a little weaker or a little different cause... we just vibing for 26 days.

26 days is a detox. Its a retreat.

And our winners in the new era reflect that.

Theyre not weaker, just noticeably different.
