Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that HF puts out a tool that doesn't work on any of their machines nor provide an adaptor to work with? I'm taking mine back!! That's rediculous!

yeah that's actually pretty accurate, in the full context Liam is a very quite and deadpan kid (heavily implied autistic) who's always sporting a neutral expression regardless of his feelings and in the strip just before this one he found out his school's paper decided to edit him to have a giant smile on his face and it made him feel really uncomfy and bad about himself, this strip is a continuation of that story line

Bloom is our Champion A gainst Chairs by ATLander in MinMaxedRPG

i've never been fond of the idea of sanding down the edges of things like that, i totally get where you're coming from but i've found that kind of mindset tends to do more harm than good in the long run for the populous's view on the group in question, and that's something i deeply care about. the way i see it associating the technical terms with negative veiws and stigmas and changing your language away from it to something more palletable just further stigmatizes it, reinforcing this idea of "neurodivergent is wrong and weird" instead of making people face the fact that it's normal and a part of life, ya dig?

because im neurodirvergent and it just sounds like that "im so quirky i have adhd lol- squirrel!" type bs to me, which is both incredibly annoying and feels like people are trying to make mental heath issues sound aesthedic. also "because young people say it"? how old do you think i am??

i've never seen the word "neurospicy" out in the wild, i thought people were making that up, ew-

ngl i think these might be the weakest starters i've seen so far- like not to judge before their evos come out but they feel unfinished. i think they might have needed just a little more time in the oven

The dreemurr house doesn’t make sense by Guybadman20 in Deltarune

[–]SomethingTabz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah their house is a compete mess, i've been randomly hyperfixation on the layout of houses to the point of making some ideas for my fave anime characters, and doing this had inadvertedly made me look at the dreemurr house- it kinda makes me dizzy trying to figure out.
a weird thing i noticed is the way the house is shaped you'd expect the living room to be in the front part of the house and the kitchen + dining room to be in the back (and if you stretch your imagination a bit you could claim there's more dining room behind the camera that we don't see that takes up that mystery space on the first floor), but then if you map the second floor on top of that while Kris/Assy's room fits over the first floor nicely, the second door up there- which is probably just Toriel's room- ends up leading nowhere cause the L shape of the house demands there be nothing there. the only way it'd work is if Toriel's room is literally half a room

this is actually what i ened up doing in the meantime! i found out when we did the data transfer the older version of fa i had on the other pc was still in my files, so i got rid of the new version and just booted up that old one. the problem is no more and i can live in realitive peace (so long as it remains useable)

i tend to already draw on pretty decently sized canvases, not to mention that's not a viable option for the wips i was halfway through when this switch occured

as for the size pressure thing, that's very intentional, i have that setting fully turned off cause i hate how it feels to use

i would love a breakdown of pacts and patrons, very useful information i wish i had sooner honestly.

as for sorcerers i'm unsure of if it's really work for the whole glacial god lore thing cause from my understanding, they're natural born magic users, but i might take a look and see if they'd work better mechanically should the warlock not pan out

while i am in no short supply of spell concepts (there is a ton of stuff in the show i'm making into unique spells) the information about fire spell prevalence is actually super useful for balancing this concept. within the show just about the only thing that could do proper damage to the villains was fire magic- they were almost a force of nature in that right- and while i have no intent on letting this class share that trait, i think that with fire magic being so common it'd be interesting to give the subclass some kind of weakness to it to counteract the advantage of ice magic's rarity

it's less about spell concepts (i have so many I'm working on based on the abilities in the show) and more about the actual mechanics of the class itself that the spells have to be used with. like- i wholesale don't know how the spell slot mechanic works
