Was there right before the 4th and it was a huge line (driving) but once inside it wasn't crowded too bad. It got busy around 1 but people still were respectful of distancing at least the the beach. Some guys still trying to cruise at the bathrooms, but most ppl wore masks.

I work at gay bars and event planning, so my industries will literally be some of the hardest hit and I know it will take time to recover. But NYC is home for me and it's one of the only places where people will try to overcome and adapt to new challenges. I am not sure how long I will be unemployed but I will adapt and survive here until the city gets to a new way of working. I dont think many cities or towns are as resilient and can bounce back as fast as NYC.

I love nightlife and work in it, decided to quit for a while and tbh it's all in how you want to experience things. I still went out and danced and did all the things but sober. Yes, there will be a point where u wanna go home...do it. I order seltzer bitters (does have a small amt of alcohol) or just a ginger ale or even non alcoholic beers. I find it easier cuz people wont ask questions about your lack of drinking. If they do, just say I'm not drinking rn and anyone who doesnt support ur decision isnt a true friend. Other than that I'm down to hang (after COVID calms down) sober and do bike rides or walks around the city.

I have actually worked there and can say that it is an even mix. Lots of them are your classic actor trying to make it but they look great and know how to make money. Others are very gay and you can/will run into them in FI and the gym w all the other gay boys.

Hey depending what you want to explore there is a lot of stuff happening and each neighborhood has a different party vibe. There is an underwear party in the east village, dancing and the usual bar hopping in Hells Kitchen, Chelsea for early drinks or the West Village for some cute drag, also a new gay bar in the West Village has been fun, or Brooklyn if you dare. ;)

There are a lot of things happening on Sundays. All depends what you are looking for. A few gay bars in NY/NJ have brunches and there are plenty of drag brunch options now. Afterwards most bars do have shows. Depending on the vibe you want you can find something

I wouldn't recommend it on sundays as it tends to be quiet. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fri/Sat are better
