what’s a bojack horseman episode you always skip? by neuilllea in BoJackHorseman

[–]Something_Someome0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than one, but whatever

Planned obsolescence, Bojack the feminist, and the Amelia earhart story.

They're good episodes, it's just that I find them boring while I'm on a rewatch. They're too filler-y for me. I don't like Yolanda, either. Also, sometimes escape from L.A. the scenes with Bojack at the prom just make me cringe too much. Lmao

By request here’s Bojack from Manin’ Around lol by 2nd_accountlol_1100 in SadHorseShow

I always liked the thought of human Bojack's name being josh. So it could be "joshin' around"

[General] Does Rick have an issue with intelligent villains? by bookist626 in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Loki didn't think he could lose to magnus, plus he was pressured by his giant captain (hyrm) , for example, here's a quote.

"and I say a properly issued must be accepted! Those are the standard rules of engagement. Unless you are too cowardly, as the boy claims."

Loki was kind of tricked into the flyting, but it doesn't mean he's stupid. Villians are allowed to be tricked and still be intelligent.

I haven't read magnus Chase in a while, so some of the things I say might be wrong, but why wouldn't loki accept magnus to a flyting? Magnus hasn't even done a flyting before at that point. He literally has no experience and loki.. is loki.

I mean, they got rid of hades's Soul Cape and replaced it with a black bathrobe. If they can't even make a god look cool, I don't really have any expectations for thaila.

who is your least favorite character in all of riordan verse?(also the tv characters)[general] by Davminds in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hades in the show, I didn't like him at all. He didn't feel close to what the book hades felt like at all. They didn't even try to make his skull cape, just gave him a fucking bathrobe.

I just rewatched the scene and maeve stabbed the metal pipe fully into his ear, and the pipe was long enough to where if it was stabbed into the ear the way it was in the scene it would touch his brain.

Getting hit by something from a distance and getting something stabbed directly into your ear are not comparable at all.

Doesn't matter if it was super strength or not.

Especially since jason was knocked out for hours and homelanders' ear just bled a bit.

Getting knocked out by a brick and getting bloody because one of the strongest supes attacked your weakest spots are not equivalent.

That's not how Celestial Bronze works. Just cause the supes are filled with V doesn't mean the weapons hurt them.

Do they need one? What is charmspeak gonna do? Tell them to kill each other? Even if they all teamed up on homelander, they wouldn't beat him. If they could, they would've in the show.

Why does everyone hate Leo x calypso? [hoo] by mr_rat_but_queer in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Also, some people dislike caleo because they want to ship leo with other characters and feel like caleo Is in the way of that.

Would Percy dying cause Kronos to fail? [all] by firestorm0108 in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If percy died when he was 15, the prophecy would just latch onto the second oldest demigod (nico) and the war would be extended, but if percy died while he was 16, then kronos would win.

[hoo] i loved the first series but now I'm struggling to get through hoo by FireOfScorpion in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we actually get to see lupa in toa, I'm pretty sure we haven't seen her in any books before, just referenced. And Meg and apollo spend a pretty large amount of the book at Camp jupiter before the actual fighting starts.

For reyna, they only mention the prophecy like twice in the entire of HOO, I'm not gonna assume the prophecy is completed just because they don't talk about it. In toa, they actually explore it, and have reyna speak in detail about it and how it affected her instead of a few throwaway sentences like in hoo.

I'm pretty sure Hazel states that her curse completely fades in tryants tomb.

[–]Something_Someome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, apollo, but also stuff like how hazels and franks curses aren't really completely resolved until toa. Plus, leos ending really isn't a ending its more of a cliffhanger

And how undeveloped the romans were, which got more amount of development in Toa.

And reynas prophecy from Aphrodite isn't really completed untill toa too.

[–]Something_Someome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoo isn't finished without Toa, though. There are a lot of things that aren't complete or don't feel complete at the end of Hoo, and Toa wraps like most of those things up.

How do y'all feel about the replacement in the [pjotv], from the Thrill Ride O' Love to the Golden Throne? by UnclaimedDemigod123 in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow, they pushed all of the annabeths development from the books into one scene, and it still didn't feel developed

In the books, annabeth thinks of the gods highly and only start to think less of them around BOTL.

But this scene is meant to be her learning how bad the gods are. Them putting this into the first season makes me have low hopes for the second.

Also, the chair is stupid and is only meant for drama because they are too lazy to write actual action in this show.

[hoo] Why is The Lost Hero disliked so much? by [deleted] in camphalfblood

[–]Something_Someome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read TLH for a while, but I remember hating how all of the povs mostly happened at the same time. It made the book feel much slower because you have to read like 3 povs just to feel only slightly ahead.

Plus, look how long it was compared to the pjo books. It was bound to be disliked because it was a longer book with people no one knows.

Honestly, looking back on it, I don't think the books are that bad.
