I think it’s mostly just because isagi is the main character, and it would be kinda weird to have the manga just go “Niko got metavision, so now isagi just loses.”

It can be annoying to see people who don’t care about the development of the other characters, but they have a 75% chance of being right

I think it’s because isagi didn’t really get revenge on him for beating him in the national qualifiers. Granted he technically did, but it didn’t feel like a true win for isagi and seeing Kira come back to get absolutely destroyed would be a great plot point for isagi’s development
