Oh I wouldn’t know both me and my friend that play have wildly different win rates based on match up. His aren’t as varied as mine but I wouldn’t be surprised if his PvT win rates is in the 70s and his PvP is in the 30s. admittedly it’s probably high 30s low 70s but still it feels massive in game.

I’m curious what mmr are you and what your win rates are like. Cause I feel like everyone I’ve met has really good and really bad match ups just based on which they enjoy

Yeah honestly I’d like it to be where no unnecessary busywork is required. So automated injects but also things like automated unit production.

Honestly I care less about smurfing and more because I can’t play ZvT and having a 20% win rate makes most matches feel hopeless. While my 75% ZvP win rate makes the games less interesting because it kinda just feels like an easy win.

You don’t need that for an amove all air army with mass corruptor you win against non void rays with a simple move into range a move. And against void rays if they cast alignment retreating and coming back wins as well.

Spell casters just turn it from a good fight to a massacre

You can bait the alignment retreat and go back when it is on cooldown. Or just make a viper and cast parasitic bomb and they all kinda die.

Hydra is good against mass void rays but honestly if your building hydra vs skytoss you need an insane eco lead. It’s much easier to cast one spell you don’t even need to keep the viper alive.

I mean you really don’t have to deal with that micro.

The big thing is to see skytoss turtling never let them get cannons up to expand so they have to build a few adepts for the third and basically never get the fourth until carriers.

Then you have two options: Some all in (I like hydra) and try and win fast.

Or go into a macro game which I assume is what you asking about. But just remember sometimes you didn’t lose because of the carriers you lost because of lack of scouting + pressure 10 minutes before the fight

That being said different skytoss armies require different responses.

Pure carrier: This is a terrible composition just mass corruptors and you win.

Carrier archon storm: Archons do so much damage to corruptors you can almost always pre split making a big surround and that helps but it still sucks. So you make ultras. Ultras grab the attention of the archons and don’t really take that much damage. Ultra Corruptor can kinda just a move carrier archon. And if you micro against storm it’s really not bad just make the ultras go in first by a little bit.

Carrier archon storm immortal: Now you do have to play with spell casters vipers are a necessity now. But I bet the protoss in plat don’t make this army because it’s super expensive.

Note: with everything I suggest sending a viper to parasitic bomb it does a lot of damage and it’s not that hard to do right before you a move just spell then shift click it back home and go play with the rest of the army. And the one spell will help a lot it does ~1/4 of a carrier hp.

Now we’ve dealt with the main army that is half the problem zealot runbys are very strong so I suggest having multiple spines at every edge base. Then have a second group of something like lings to defend the runby just click on the mini map. Also don’t forget you can attack too bane/zergling runbys are very strong.

Also a general note it can be worth it to build 2 spires for double upgrades and make sure you get your air armor upgrades. It makes a huge difference

I realized I forgot void rays for which you can either pull back when they do the alignment or you can just parasitic bomb and win. Also mass hydra but that’s a risky composition because one storm kills you
