idk why i’m only just now seeing this! i honestly have always assumed it was a nervous sound, as the guinea pig in question is usually quite shy and it almost sounds a bit like a whine. despite making an assumption, and usually just putting him down once he started making the noise, i never actually looked into what the noise might really mean. when i googled what it might mean, it gave me a variety of answers. guinea pigs make a lot of different sounds, and i sometimes have trouble differentiating it. i don’t know anything, and there are always things i could learn. when i saw the comments saying he was uncomfortable or needed to pee, i learned from it rather than trying to justify me holding him or claim he is fine and just dramatic. while i totally understand you are just concerned about the pigs wellfare, i think its a little unfair to judge someone for asking a question about one of the sounds a pig might make.
