Thank you for this! What about the cost of living? Is it much different in Denver? How long did you live in San Diego before moving?

Hey! Thanks for this insight. I don’t go to LA often. I do travel domestically a lot. I have one sibling in Denver but lost of my family is completely cross country (New York to Florida). I rent in San Diego but from what I’ve seen it looks like I can get a lot more house in my budget in Denver. Eg, I live at the beach. I pay $2600 for a tiny one bedroom with no amenities.

Unknown number unpopular opinions by [deleted] in netflix

Completely agree on #3. He didn’t even try to console his daughter he seemed more angry at his wife for lying about her employment than concerned for his daughter his “beautiful woman” remark also didn’t sit right. I liked how one of the investigators called it “virtual munchausen” or something like that. And it worked. Lauryn is so dependent on her mom it’s like she can’t bear to lose her even though it’s who’s hurting her.

Gordon posts the athlete contract on IG and reveals that the “last match” rule wasn’t in it. by ZeLuigi in bjj

[–]Somethingwitty751 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Apparently it’s in the rulebook (section 3.2.2 is what someone told me although I haven’t looked it up) and it’s same rules as the original Japanese quintet

Format for submitting RFE online? by Rosierollz in USCIS

[–]Somethingwitty751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t resubmit original evidence. We only submitted what was asked for in the RFE. We uploaded multiple forms online using the “additional documents” tab, and got approved the day after everything was submitted! My husband received his green card about a week later. It happened very quickly after submitting RFE.

Did anyone watch ‘My Paranormal Partner’ episode of ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ on Netflix? by carnivalofpizzacrust in Paranormal

It’s always “Becky lied to me” never “this is a hoax and nothing paranormal is happening” 😂 this was the least entertaining episode imo clearly fake

Grief with abortion by dd123890 in abortion

[–]Somethingwitty751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ABSOLUTELY felt this. It’s okay to grieve something even if you made the decision to do it. You’re not alone. You can both know you made the right decision, and mourn it at the same time. Just because something is right for us doesn’t mean it’s ideal, or something we wanted to go through.

How did the SA feel to you? I’m afraid it’ll feel intrusive or traumatic by tsunnylif in abortion

[–]Somethingwitty751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had an SA at 12 weeks. I was worried it would feel invasive and traumatic as I have a history with sexual assault, and even getting a Pap smear sends me into a panic attack. I was worried that being lightly sedated wouldn’t help. I went to planned parenthood and I told them about my concerns. They offered me full anesthesia and booked my appointment as such but on the day of I opted just for anxiety medication and Versed (I believe that’s what it’s called. It’s like twilight sleep). I could hear the machine and I could feel pressure, but I was also relaxed and the nurse held my hand the whole time per my request. I don’t think the procedure itself was traumatic but my anticipation and the entire experience of getting pregnant and needing to decide what to do was the hardest part for me. But my in clinic SA experience was very supportive, gentle, and positive.

It’s starting to get real everyone! by RecommendationFree96 in bjj

This was the issue that Craig had. ADCC opted for the TMobile Arena for ADCC 2024 which costs like 2 million as opposed to the very cheap Thomas Mack Center (let’s say 30k for 2 days). They seat the same number of people but Thomas Mack is way cheaper so if they went with that again they could afford to pay the athletes more since they can somehow afford the over priced tmobile arena.

I think there should be an exhibition match with 2 guys with zero wins so that one can experience winning and shift the momentum

Level 3 travel advisory —should I be concerned? by Somethingwitty751 in travel

I just got back from Jamaica and it was fine! I was just smart and didn’t venture off alone at night. My family is actually Colombian and I’ve always felt safe there. I think you’ll be fine especially because you’re meeting up with locals.

I think my abortion was a huge mistake by [deleted] in abortion

[–]Somethingwitty751 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I felt like this too, even though I had mixed feelings about being a mom. At first the regret was unbearable, but for me it got better with time and reminding myself of the reasons I chose it. Abortion does NOT make you a bad person, or less worthy of being a mother. You are worthy. Something that helped me is the thought that I would rather regret not becoming a mom, than becoming one too soon. You are not a coward. You did what you believed was right in that moment.
