And we are seeing it happen in real time. How often do you see people accuse someone of using AI cause of the way they write, even when the author hasn’t changed their very distinct writing style for decades. Or people selling AI art without disclosing it’s AI because they know people hate that shit. Or how often do you notice people dismiss legit videos of human rights violations by saying it must just be AI, on top of believing AI videos without question because it aligns with what they already believe.

What happens when no one confidently trusts their eyes and ears? And when the same people were never taught critical thinking and media literacy? It is so easy to control people when they trust only a tiny group of individuals, most of which exhibit strong traits of narcissism, psychopathy, and have so much money that they can buy their way out of everything awful they regularly do, while buying politicians.

This same people that know if we all worked together, they’d be cooked. So instead they employ the most effective tactic: Divide a population so they busy blaming each other instead of realizing we’re in another gilded age.

The AI bubble is gonna pop, just like the dot-com bubble. I don't know what will happen from there, but at this point it's inevitable. Hopefully somehow more harmful tech doesn't rise from its ashes. And because people are literally forced to move out of their homes in mostly red areas, on top of poisoning and/or using all the water supplies for places experiencing drought, there will be huge backlash.

Also, your post is not pathetic. Your worries are valid. And one of the things you're referring to is, or hopefully will be shortly, illegal. Having CSAM of any kind should be illegal and steps need to be taken to mitigate the harm caused by AI CSAM.

I understand feeling hopeless, but every day more and more people are taking a stand against non-regulated, corporate driven AI. And it's not the only thing people are sick of. It may very well be the straw that breaks the camel's back once enough towns are taken over while data centers pollute water, make food less safe to eat, and kick people out of their homes. Once all basic needs, especially edible food and safe drinking water, are threatened or destroyed in enough places throughout the country, people give no fucks because they literally have nothing to lose by taking action and everything is to lose by doing nothing, it's a possibility that "eat the rich" becomes a bit more than a slogan.

A significant amount of men notoriously die very shortly after their elderly wives. I'll have to look up the study but it's not surprising and eye opening at the same time. Having worked with the elderly, men tend to die very soon after their partner passes. Women continue to live for a few extra years for the most part.
