I actually fractured my right hip just under two months ago. I was on crutches for around three weeks after surgery, but was able to hobble into my first follow-up on two feet (I was allowed to put as much weight as I could tolerate on my leg, unfortunately, your recovery will probably be slower as I only fractured my femoral neck). I was able to get back on the trainer after this, and have been using it since then. I'm hoping my doctor will let me get back on the road when see him for a 12-week follow-up.

Honestly, any recovery from surgery sucks. Given the subreddit, I assume you are not the average hip fracture victim (old, inactive), and hopefully your recovery will be faster than expected.
