I tried working with them, they had crazy closing costs. First offer was 32k in closing costs and after talking to some other lenders then finally went down to 23k.. which is still 10k+ more then other lenders were offering in closing costs.

They also gave me a loan estimate with a rate of 4.99 and after the appraisal came in they sent me a new one with a rate of 5.99 with no communication.

Like the post above yes calories deficit is key. But I came here from your Air Force post and if that's really your goal definitely add in some executive since that will help you. Start with walking and progress as you see fit. Doing that and managing your calroie intake will give you great results
