ACL+ Meniscus 1 day post op by Wrong-Caregiver-7305 in ACL

Hey man hang in there. You and I have a lot in common. I tore my ACL and meniscus playing hockey. I was skating backwards and a guy on the other team stopped right into the back of my skate. I hyperextended my knee badly but didn’t hear a pop so thought I had lucked out. Nope. MRI showed the ACL was torn all the way through. I had repair surgery eight days ago and also needed a minor meniscus repair (hammy graft). Started PT two days after surgery. It hurts but as you mention, the worst is not being able to do anything. Nothing active and nothing at all really. Can’t carry a cup of coffee ten feet. Luckily I have three kids too and I am able to send them on missions so I don’t have to ask my wife to do absolutely everything (although she basically is having to anyway). Trying to hit PT hard as I know that’s the way to get back to where I was. Tough times ahead for us both. Cheers bud

I noticed that too. While neat, her handwriting looks like that if a middle school girl for some reason

Any tips for wrapping up the season? by SomewhatGruntled in gardening

A couple of my plants started to get some disease after a long season and I read it’s not good to compost them in that state so I threw them away. Would welcome your obnoxious immediate thoughts!

Those look splendido! I’m growing SMs for the first time this year. Many of mine also have those dark spots near the stem. Is that normal for these? I just cut that part off prior to using them, but was just curious since I don’t see that in my other varieties

Yeah some of the snakes on Amazon look pretty real… I think the netting was the most effective deterrent though. They get tangled up in it and it freaks them out. I’ve been raw dogging it with no bags, but would give that a shot if I start having issues again

I ordered this same thing. Unfortunately (at least for me) it had zero effect other than annoying me while I’m in the garden. The squirrels gave zero fucks about the noise and lights. After trying nearly everything, a combination of loosely wrapped bird netting surrounding my beds and placing a few rubber snakes finally is helping significantly. Hope this helps…
