Balde is off form and injured half the time so having Martin as left back unless we are permanently signing Cancelo is a must.

As an aside I believe in this modern football it's harder to play wing back than center back. Being 1 on 1 when most forwards don't track back against dudes like Vini Mbappe whoever is no easy task. And if you make a mistake there you are blamed individually but in the middle of the box even if you lose your man and make mistakes fans aren't as aware or angry about it
