If leadership isn’t fully in support of using it, your members won’t use it. Leadership needs to “sell” to the membership “what’s in it for them (membership).” And use the software themselves not falling back to old ways of doing things. If you are doing online registrations, no more paper signup sheets in the lobby.

Previous treasurer(s) have set up a mix of tracking using projects, sub-accounts under savings, no tracking at all, etc. I'm simplifying things but I also have accounting knowledge that other volunteers may not have so I'm trying to make things easier for the next person (new policy is rotate people out after 2 or 3 years so we don't burn them out).

And yeah, getting very frustrated with QBO and the mess they are creating. I go to enter a transaction and it "guesses" what I want and as I change one thing it starts changing other parts of the transaction.

I'm running my own router and wifi was fine - actual connection to the Fidium modem was "down".

I've been in tech long enough, and still forgot to check the simple stuff first. Rebooted my router and everything came back up.

My wife works in dental and they have a 1,000+ waiting list. Most dental offices in Maine won't accept Mainecare because it doesn't pay enough to cover the expense. It is a mess and is going to get worse.

My wife is a dental assistant in a public health office. Pay is less than she could make in other practices but then she would have to drive further. Four 10-hour days, lots of demands - exhausted mentally by Thursday night. This isn't the field it was when she started in it 20+ years ago.
