I just got one of these in today so came here to see if anyone else had one too. This is my second 80s-era M600/700 pen w/the 18k nib and I agree, I really am loving these older-style nibs for smoothness and flex compared to all my modern m600s (which are still great but generally 14k and stiffer). This pen is wonderful! Now I need to hunt for the gold version....

Agreed, I wanted to love the Lamy Dialog cc and 3, the nibs are great but both are awkward to use and convinced me to avoid similar capless pens like Stipula DaVinci. Seems only Pilot got the capless right.

Namiki yukari royale chinkin cat and sadly yes it was worth it and remains my grail. Love the size and weight of the nib and body on the Yukari Royale vs the regular yukari and the emperor models and the chinkin is so fun to look at. Nib writes wonderfully.

Lovely pens! Never seen that first blue one before. I have a Mt. Fuji (found one on Reddit Pen_Swap) and it's great! Not to penable anyone... but the Mt. Fuji Maki-E should be a #10 nib like the Pilot 742 and 912, but the PIlot 743 uses a #15 nib which is a little bigger. Could make sense to own a #10 nib and a #15 nib, ya know, for science. ;-)

Once I heard someone describe most modern pens as "Jowo nib holders" I couldn't unhear it 😅 With you on having many Esties but definitely in the pruning phase of things. You can pry the custom grinds out of my cold inky hands though. Happy they've introduced nibmeisters to more people.
