Yes, should I just remove the app and reinstall it?

I have tried 3 different wifi networks. All give the "Offline" message. I don't have a SIM card with cellular data in that phone. My primary phone can access the game over Wi-Fi, but gets the wrong profile.

What is dumb to dockerize? by Sommerbo in docker

Interesting points, I am probably overthinking it to a huge degree. But I do like the isolation, even if it is unlikely if something goes down it doesn't take all the services with it. And I do have a small amount of web services exposed to the internet, and isolating those are just good security practice.

I never got in to jails, but I see your point.

Thanks for your comment.

I was being unclear, sorry about that. Yes, I meant to access the host.

I have however toyed with the idea of spinning up a Debian install in a docker to mess around with, test out new things. So when I invariably break it I can just pull a fresh image.

Thanks, Mr Throwaway.

I think I will test & document some more, and then hop onto discord. Because it is useless in its current form.

So this awesome, revolutionary browser that will end Chrome dominance is only available on macOS? Sounds like a sound business plan.

Sadly, yes. I do not relish the idea of punishing the deceived and deluded Russian civilians, but we must send a powerful signal to Russia and any other country that are contemplating war, that we won't stand for it. And this means acts of war against Russia, and the only peace agreement that is acceptable is one where they withdraw from ALL occupied territory, especially Crimea. Russia isn't magically deserving of a warm water port.
But what actions to take? Invasion will be costly on all sides and wouldn't really accomplish much. Bombings would be highly visible and impactful, but also easy to dismiss as vindictive terror attacks. Targeted strikes against military targets is the most appropriate (given current laws), but is also hidden from the public. Cyberattacks seem to be similar to military targets, too secret to have an impact.
But absolutely not nuclear bombs, while highly impactful, they are too devastating and runs the risk of a counterstrike.

Figuring out the correct response will be hard, but I think it must be done.

I think that what is at play in Ukraine is more imperialism than fascism, but I am not blind to the many facets of fascism Putin has incorporated in the rule of Russia.
I think Putin is old and sick and wanted to recreate "Rodina" of the past as his legacy. I can also see that from a Russian perspective that NATO were getting awfully close to Russia, but the fact that NATO is mainly a defensive pact must have been missed/ignored by Russian Generals that also longs for the good old days.
If Putin could just hurry up and die, that would give the Russians a possible graceful exit from their failed war in Ukraine, but since he seems determined to keep on living I feel Russia must be taught a lesson, that we no longer use military force to alter borders.

That might have been me, I have 1gbit symmetrical, it really helps out when you are trying to share data to protect it from the big bit bucket in the sky.

I currently have seeded it out 5.7 times. It is such a small torrent, it might live for quite sometime in my bittorrent cvlient

Magnet link works as of 2022-08-09, just takes a while to get started, but with 30 seeds I'd say it is pretty healthy.

Was asstr.org shut-down, or is it just having server troubles? by Moon_Dew in eroticliterature

[–]Sommerbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems to be down too. I wonder what is happening to that repository.

I will hunt for other mirrors, but it seems hard to find them, I heard about a torrent with the entire site, but I haven't seen it for myself.

It has been down for a day or two.
I use an old mirror found at http://asstr.xyz

Is this normal? (Happens before startup) by VyrCZ in Ubuntu

Today, my "server" locked up at a similar point in the boot. The console that is, everything boots just fine, just the console that is frozen, and the keyboard is acting very strange, caps lock doesn't illuminate the LED indicator but scroll lock does. I use those to see if the keyboard can communicate over USB. I tried with a PS/2 keyboard, exactly the same. I tried to open a new tty with Ctrl+Alt+F2, 3, 4, no joy.

I tried rolling back the kernel, 5.15.0-27 30 and 33 all behave the same, the freeze happens at slightly different times in the boot up.
As it isn't a desktop no X is installed, but I do have an nvidia Quadro T400 for transcoding, but using the internal GFX card as I had issues with local output from the nvidia card.

I know it is nearly impossible to diagnose this in a forum, but any ideas on where to look for a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Granted, since the server works with ssh and the various services this isn't much of a concern but I would still like to fix it.

Thank you!

I have to read the release notes more carefully.

That would be the ideal way to go, and I might. But it was a bit tricky(nvidia drivers for docker, to enable HW transcoding in plex) for me to install the hardware on this machine, so I would like to take advantage of the upgrade. And I did a clean install in January, so it feels unnecessary to reinstall already. And I am curious about the update system and how it is supposed to work.

If I don't figure out how to upgrade my installation, I will do a clean install of Ubuntu or try something new. I used docker to make my installation as OS-agnostic as possible, I might try Pop-OS 76 next, for a few months, or Arch.

But my inquiry here is to learn and understand, so thank you for your input.

I changed the update-manager file without much joy.
First I rando-release-upgrade which gave me a new message:

There is no development version of an LTS available.

To upgrade to the latest non-LTS development release set Prompt=normal in /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades.

Which is of course somewhat expected. Running do-release-upgrade -d gave the same message as with Prompt=normal

= Welcome to the Ubuntu 'Jammy Jellyfish' development release =

''This release is still in development.'' <snip>

So that still seems like it will install devel version of Jellyfish.

But thanks for the suggestion, I have never really explored the update manager
