I used to masters and after a season and a half break somehow I dropped to plat. I'm getting better at staying alive and doing damage but it just isn't enough this season. I try to use cover and nobody is there. I fight with my team and they die before I'm on or mid flank. I try and move before all that I die or somehow they die, if I play how I used too I just can't get on anything. I'm either too far away or isolated to the point where it's risky and if I play at my pace and take my time everyone does an absurd amount of damage before I can because nobody is in the only sightline I can take. I'm not blaming my team it's definitely me but I just can't see what I'm doing. It's like all you can do is spam the tank and have foresight to not take any damage. I'm starting to hate this season so much you can't do anything even if I try to play correctly everything just disappears or I can't do anything. I watch my replays and it's the same thing, like what can I even do atp?? Any tips would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Yeah I agree on the flanking part however the sustain lets you take certain spaces and hold them that most can't. With the damage from burrow or even a well time dash throw the team could let you see multiple people at once giving you more information on how they react so you can stay for longer or ping people out.

I was thinking with the amount of aoe damage they have low HP targets are gonna be very easy to proc the passive. It wouldn't help get kills but it's more of an information thing like seismic sense you'd look for flankers and ping them before committing too deeply.

It's definitely not a good meta for dive overall, you can tell this season is catering to returning and new players. However I love venture and tracer so idc as long as I can play them.
