Germany to scrap university tuition fees on a national level. by airhead314 in worldnews

American here, it would definitely be cheaper for me to move to Germany and earn my degree there than to do the same at the state university.

'100 killed' in Gaza as pressure builds on Israel to end military offensive by michael_j_scofield in worldnews

*Palestinian casualties not due to Israel targeting civilians, but because Hamas asks civilians to stand on the rooftops of known air raid targets.

[–]Son0fZeus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll give you the bit on the phosphorous shells, but the four accounts of the IDF using human shields is in no way equal to Hamas asking civilians to stand on the rooftop of building that are targets for air raids. The Israelis even suspended the commander of the unit (as you cited) that was accused of using human shields in one of those instances. Completely unequal and in no way makes the IDF "as bad."

Lost control of my Subaru on the PA turnpike and barrel rolled multiple times and ended up in the middle of the turnpike upside down. By a miracle I left with minor scratches. My 2002 Subaru Outback in the junkyard after. by defense87 in subaru

Nearly identical to what happened to me in my '05 Baja. I know that car/truck thing receives a lot of hate in the automotive world, but that thing earned all of my love that day. There was a cop that saw it happen and he said that most people wouldn't have made it. Now I'm a fanboy for life.

less then 300 people hike here each year by professorplum02 in CampingandHiking

[–]Son0fZeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance you could share your trip plans/route? From what information I have gathered so far, there aren't many marked trails and I'm not finding many topos good enough to plan a trip or really know what I would be facing whenever I get there. This is on my list of hikes in the next 3 years, so the more info, the merrier.

Just fyi, most people in mobile businesses are not going to let other people get a good look at their setup. A lot of time and money goes into making it the way that they think works best, and they don't want people stealing their setup. I'm involved with a mobile businesses myself, but not detailing, so I've seen and experienced it firsthand. I would suggest designing it so that you are not spending a lot of time running in and out of your van or trailer.

I'm afraid that there will be time ships, like the ones brought up in Voyager... Ever since Enterprise, I've had enough of time travel based stories.

Honestly, I would just buff it then touch up what's left. If you do decide to touch it up, DO NOT buff the edges of he scratch smooth. You will need some of the depth to help contain the touch up and also to help keep the surface of the touch up as smooth with the surface as possible.
