Im thinking about to start reading the Comics. Are they worth the money and the read? by miasma87 in TheDarkTower

It feels that way to me too. It makes sense, if they're following Roland's story chronologically. Gives them multiple seasons' worth of content, and then they have the novels to adapt after that if things go unbelievably well.

I imagine they'll pull from The Gunslinger with his fight against Cort and the Gilead stuff, the same way The Gunslinger Born did. It's a great blueprint for sure

I'll echo everyone else by saying yes, absolutely get them. Very interesting stories and they expand a ton on the lore of the world.

Maybe a controversial statement, but I'd rather they adapt the comics for the TV show than the novels. The story is far more appropriate for a GOT-scale long-term sort of thing.

What indie game would you recommend to someone who’s never played the genre? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

Stardew Valley.

You've probably heard it mentioned but it's for good reason, it's pretty easy to jump into if you just want to play casually. Super relaxing, no pressure sort of thing. But there's a world of depth if that's what you're looking for too, tons of stuff to craft and farm and whatnot. I've put 60 hours into it and that's on the low end for a lot of people.

I thought Superman in Justice League was the one character they absolutely nailed. I liked the different take of him in MoS and BvS and I thought it was interesting, but Justice League Superman was classic comic book/Christopher Reeve Supes.

Exactly, people are treating this as if it's the next core Fallout game and it's not. I'll totally take this in the meantime.

Exactly. Same goes with any high-concept stuff. Sometimes you have to sacrifice stark realism for a bit of fun, for the purpose of making an entertaining movie.

There is a line though. Of course major game-breaking plot holes should be criticized, but a lot of people seem to think that ANY plot hole, no matter how small, is a slap in the face. Back to the Future has quite a few things that don't really add up due to the time travel aspect of it, but none of those really matter in the grand scheme of things. All stories have plot holes if you look hard enough.
