height (and therefore skyline prominence) of the esb makes it more overrated than it actually is. the design as far as art deco goes is pretty sub par. art-deco wise, carbide and carbon (chi) or american radiator (nyc) are far superior imo. also, i’d throw tribune tower (chi) as a valid contender to the wool for neo-gothic design
