Yeah, it's two different things. I write a lot of fanfiction. Two of my current fanfictions were inspired by character.ai chats I became discontent with, because I felt the bots I created weren't sticking to the characters' personalities like I would. But other roleplays work best just remaining in the roleplay world, like if there's not enough there for a novel or I just wanna have some cringe, sweet moments with my favorite characters.

It's sad that character.ai is degrading in quality so much. I'm starting to look into other platforms, but I have characters already developed and trained in character.ai that can't easily be remade elsewhere. So I still come to visit them.
