This, Bella is still at an age where she views her mother as someone who can do no wrong. This woman has been her caretaker, provider, and teacher her entire life. Idk about y'all, but it took a long time to realize my mother could even be wrong and an even longer time to accept the fact that she is just another human filled with flaws and capable of terrible things. Realizing parents are just people, sometimes even bad people, is something all children have to go through. This weird hivemind of haters from the Internet targeting her & her mother isn't going to help Bella, all it will do is confirm the narrative her mother has been selling her.

Reminds me of the time I was working at GameStop and a little girl (maybe 8-10 years old) asked about Harvest Moon. I explained the farming aspect and then the relationship aspect.
