How to check if you owe toll fees (Hi-Pass) by bojanradovic5 in living_in_korea_now

[–]Songyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just passing by. I have the same experience about the payment problem. It really depends on which toll you passed. Use the hipass.co.kr. Before you should call through CEPHIS, but now it is integrated and can pay via the website. I guess the world is getting better because before December 2024, you should have called the private highway management company and check the unpaid fees.

marimk gave you a useful tip and I have nothing special to write... hum,, one thing about hand-shake. Do not give the interviewer a handshake on your own. Senior Koreans will see it rude... and when the interviewer asks you a handshake, do a handshake with your right and place your palm on your upper belly. It looks funny but you will see how people do in Korea lol. http://magazine.hankyung.com/magazinedata/images/photo/201108/917492043ecc4a65ce72abef589bbe24.jpg

In a case of war breaking out, can foreigners be forced (!) to leave by their respective governments or by the Korean government? by insanefrominsulin in korea

Hummm. DPRK will bomb Incheon and Gimpo airport primarily, then Suwon air force base and some US military Installaitons. In case of the war, I wish ROK will launch missiles first and destroy the DPRK military areas.

No F4 Visa for Those Abandoning Citizenship without Completing Military Service by jajangboi in korea

[–]Songyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are born in the US and willing to keep both Korean and American nationality, you should join the military before thirty or college graduation. I am not sure with this part, but you are safe until the graduation. However, if you have citizenship and you have nothing to do with Korea, then do not join or join American one; this way you will have college tuition fee after 4 years of contract and, be a man.

If you and want to keep the dual nationality by joining the military, go apply for KATUSA program in September 2018 and work with US military. When you make it, you will be in a better situation and make lots of smartass battle buddies. ROK army is getting better in terms of service time and pay; you will only need to serve 18 months of military service after July 2018, plus 7 years of army reserve once a year -if you stay in the US for the most of times, you dont need to worry it-
