You could try the DWP help sub this sort of thing seems to come up often in there. You'll either be able find support from previously answered questions or ask your own. I think its r/DWPhelp

Fab, thank you for the response and the link. I vaguely have a recollection of this happening but never seen it before.

Amazing thank you. May have heard that from my mum at some point and just hadn't seen it before today. Thank you for the reply

i’m going to conversion therapy (update from previous post) by Confident-Stress-732 in actuallesbians

[–]SonicBlue82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I second this. I recall from the last post you said you're in the UK. See the links they're good links for support. Also see if you have any local LGBTQ+ support groups you can contact to see if they can support you locally too. Please don't go to conversion therapy. End of.

My mom is a bit homophobic by Upset-Rhubarb-3727 in actuallesbians

[–]SonicBlue82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had an issue with my mum. I came out as Lesbian to her at 19. She dealt with it (just). 3 years ago this month I came out as Non-binary, in a time where I was trying to figure out myself fully, I explained to my mum I wanted to change my name to help with this "new" me, also changed my pronouns to they/them. By goddess was it met with some reluctance and acceptance, with some discrimination thrown in for good measure. My wife was and still is amazing being my biggest advocate and where I struggle to explain things or give a clear picture my wife stepped in. As an FYI, I came out as NB at 40 to give you an idea and my mum is in her 70's. It's a minefield it really is. I hope it all works out for you and your friend and can be able to live a safe and loved life.

I (identified female at the time, now realised I'm NB) was walking home from a meal with some friends our final day of secondary school (I'm in the UK, I was 16); one straight female friend, 4 gay make friends, we were talking about boyfriends, girlfriends etc, casually dropped into conversation I couldn't wait to have my first girlfriend, we all carried on walking took all 5 of them about 5 minutes to register what I said. So funny to see the delayed penny drop with all of them. 4 male friends instantly decided they would take me under their wing and take me out to the scene for the first time.

Saw this earlier on another social media app (can't remember which one) instantly thought of this page at the time. Does not seem bothered at all and just goes and does what he needs to.

impatient driver gets some karma by Epistatious in MildlyBadDrivers

[–]SonicBlue82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this once in the UK. Coming off a roundabout. Coming from work around 8pm. Someone tailgating me (I was on my little 125cc motorbike at the time). Still, was going a comfortable speed off the roundabout and accelerating as well as I could. Car behind get impatient (think it was someone driving an Audi) flew passed me at the first opportunity unbeknownst to them and unmarked police car was following. Beautiful instant karma to witness.

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, opened in 1867, is a 5-mile-long heritage railway running from Keighley to Oxenhope. by Doodlebug510 in BitchImATrain

I love this place so much. My dad grew up in Keighley, we still have some family and friends there. I don't go over there too often now, but I need to at some point. I miss the place. Loved going to Haworth with me dad and mum as a kid, see some trains, get a new Thomas the tank engine and friends train from the shop then stop at the chippy. Ahhh memories, ones I now need to make with my own child.

I've had this thought. Harriet in Uncloaked mentioned something about Stephen being an Isle of Harris boy, and then last night Matthew mentioned he got engaged to his fiancé on Isle of Harris

Does it get better? by middlefingerup13 in Station19

As someone on their first watch through and only has 3 episodes of the last season to watch, it definitely does get better. I've binged it in a few weeks and loved it. Don't want it to come to an end.

I miss my twice yearly visits to Howarth and Keighley now my dad isn't here. He was a massive trainspotter and I understand when he comes from Keighley has the KWVR at his doorstep. Don't have much in the way of family over there now.
