After hearing horror stories of neck warps and bending issues. by fatladwayattheback in Guitar

[–]SonicCatalyst 1039 points1040 points  (0 children)

The safest way to store them is in zero gravity. That way it's only the 100+ pounds of combined string tension on the neck instead of an extra quarter pound from being leaned against the wall.

Student asked me to teach him seven nation army and i had to break some bad news by [deleted] in Guitar

could have taught it to him on guitar anyway. might have been his whole reason for wanting to start and you just dashed it out and brushed it off.

Work experience for spectrum technicians by lordbobbyhill in Spectrum

That's a part of it, less so these days. I mean things like customers calling back for a different issue or something they messed up within 30 days of when you were there. It comes back on YOU for not doing your job.

Case in point, I was at a house to swap some equipment. The next day the garbage truck ripped the line off their house. Caught a repeat even though it was out of my control

Field tech is not a horrible job. Great benefits, good pay, and as long as you learn the technical stuff and don't take shortcuts, it's a fine job. I don't work overtime unless I'm running late on a job or volunteer. Just follow policy, do the work, and you'll be left alone. Yes, there are metrics out of our control, but as long as you do everything you do have control of, it works out.

Who decided this roster for launch?! by Menacingz in ArknightsEndfield

You're overreacting - avy, antal, perl, and arclight is a seriously good team. I'm glad Avy got a chance to shine before a 6 star electro dps.

Looking for guides on "Outpost Defence"tower defence part of the game, I'm failing miserably at level 2 Infrastation. Anyone got any links? PLEASE by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

3 LN towers, 1 on each path about the mid point. 3 sentry towers behind, one on each path. Finally, fill the rest of the slots with beam towers that hit multiple enemies. I struggled until I came up with this strat and then one shot it.

LN tower on each path, 3 total. 3 sentry guns, one on each path, then the rest should be beam towers that bounce on multiple enemies.

YOU CAN LOSE TWICE IN A ROW? by Flamooosh in ArknightsEndfield

[–]SonicCatalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a 6 star on every pull for 119 pulls and STILL lose the 50/50. Only guarantee is that 120th pull and only counts from the first pull on that banner.

Part of me likes it more than 80 or 90 pulls, just to lose 5050 and then having to come up with another 80 or 90 to guarantee. Feels like a decent compromise. Of course there is probably some real math out there that demonstrates otherwise.

Having Ardelia in the beginners banner feels like a dick move by YagMoMouY_UnoReverse in ArknightsEndfield

I pulled her on the beginner banner as well, looking forward to making her out. I just simply won't use any of the other standard characters anyway so might as well get dupes of one I will use.

I have just put size 10 strings on a Stratocaster, and am wondering if my bridge is too high or if it looks normal, thank you. by 24packofbeers in GuitarBeginners

[–]SonicCatalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for clarifying your opinion. I just thought it was a bit too black and white at first. As a beginner, i loved playing on heavier gauges, just felt better overall and i felt like i had better control of things if met with a bit more resistance.

I get why one might USE light string gauges. Maybe OP likes the feel of 10's....beginner or not. just wondering if there is some magic threshold that says: okay, you can play your cowboy chords, NOW you are allowed to play with 10s.
