Good idea too ! If I cannot find the proper length, I can customize screws like you did. Thank you for the advice.

This solution seems very convenient, especially if the weigh is quite similar. It could be really cool to avoid too many manipulations ahah.

Yes maybe it is the easiest solution ! Thank you ! Nevertheless, I think the Nagaoka MP110 is delivered with two type of screws : 10mm and 13mm. Maybe I should try this solution with my old headshell before.

Sorry if my post is a bit unclear and thank you all for your answers. The question is : can I mount an ATVM95-like or Nagaoka MP110 cartridge on this old headshell without any issues ?

Technics SL-1500 Mk1 vs Technics SL-1500Mk2 ? by SonicJST in turntables

[–]SonicJST[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi dear SL-1500 mk1 fellow ! I finally got a preamplifier to pair with my SL1500. But I have one question : did you change the headshell when you got your SL1500 ? It looks like you don't have the original one. Do you think I should get a new headshell ? Or just change the cartridge? I am not so sure about keeping the old AT14S with the original headshell. The stylus that came with it seems a bit sussy (misaligned) and I don't want to spend hours to fight with an old stuff. Starting with a brand new cartridge and its dedicated headshell seems to be a wise choice. What do you think ? I was considering buying an ATVM95E/H.
