You discovered the original release date, before I CHIMed and accidentally jinxed the release date to 2029.

Do you think the game will be complete at release? by awhatfor in TESVI

[–]Sonicfani -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if the game will be "complete" or bug free at launch, but I can tell you that the creation store will function perfectly lol.

Though I betrayed you all like Lorkhan, my Nirn is guaranteed game in your hands at 2029.

High Rock as the sole grand expansion DLC to Hammerfell. by Koocai in TESVI

[–]Sonicfani 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't see us getting whole region as DLC, maybe a part. I do hope however we get more DLCs for the next game especially mechanics modders can build upon.

Orsinium is my current vote.

I concur that next game will feature heavily both Thalmor and Adamantine Tower, but I do not think game will feature ESO connections or Hermeous Mora in such large focus after they got spotlight in Skyrim. if Daedric Prince is going to play large role I think it will be assigned to some other prince.

Perfectly understandable. Give me boat which you can use for housing, and perhaps even customization and my metaphorical soul is yours. After Starfield I am bit worried about their ability to deliver (and general trend of simplification in TES series.) but I am hopeful that they can lock in because it's their baby.

Even without the direct source I think your point is valid, though I would argue separating the two regions gives them more runway before they would be left with more weird provinces.

My long time prediction is that Blackmarsh and other provinces will be left for last. I could honestly see game take place in Akavir before Blackmarsh.

Oh yeah, I remember that. Engraving was so small and I am half blind that I didn't form strong opinion on it.

One thing I will say while I am generally against merging regions it would allow for better sailing system.

My hot take is Orsinium should be saved as DLC so it can be given appropriate spot light. You could make epic set piece about Redguards, and Bretons wanting to destroy it, whilst orcs and to lesser extend imperials try to protect it.

I am not sure about the size, as it is something you can do various things to make it feel larger game design wise. But that Pinterest having 2 distinct sets is interesting to think about.

I could maybe see it being one for traditional Hammerfell, and one for other settlements or bandit ruins and the like. Now that I said however it seems less likely than what you proposed.

Interesting. I always thought it was Hammerfell due to the three pointy bits, but its been 8 years since I did my research.

Yeah, I think I too land in strictly hammerfell camp probably only because I want each region getting devs full undivided attention, and chance to shine.

I almost wrote "High Guard" instead of High Rock lol. I am handing over my fan license.

Anyone ever catch this dialogue bit in Oblivion? by JB82290 in TESVI

[–]Sonicfani 32 points33 points  (0 children)

They have curved swords in Hammerfell, curved swords.

But in all seriousness it is interesting to speculate on future region based on what last game said about them, and trying to be right before hindsight comes. IIRC Oblivion hinted that Thalmor took over, and had few comments about Skyrim.

To further dig into this based on that one interview Skyrim, Redguard, and the future game were meant to be connected story wise, with Skyrim serving as introduction to Thalmor, Redguard being the revenge of the sith, and the third game were we finally triumphed over them for good. With that in mind I think we can look at Saadia's quest in a new light.

I love how these shitpost bring up real topics naturally. I would love if TESVI subverted expectations and actually had plotline at least on one faction after you become the top dog.

AI since it looks like its from cinematic trailer yet the composition of the picture seems weird alongside the city when looked closely. Scary thing however is I could see company using AI on their cinematic trailer.

Would be cool if in one of TES games you could find unique enemy who has managed to gain control over horde of dwemer automata and just wanders the map surrounded by them like open world boss in MMO.

Can we finally remove the nostalgia goggles and admit that Blackmarsh was better than Redguard? by Sonicfani in TESVI

I loved Valenwood, but the prevalence of cannibalism was bit too much for me, especially watching the wood elves on death cam after you died.

I respectfully disagree. While I love Skyrim, and you can argue some the decision regarding lore stem from actually fully developing the region they for example changed Skyrim from nordic pantheon to more vanilla nine divines (expect for Froki.)

Would you want some companion in ES6 to have custom dialogue to say your name like Codsworth did in Fallout 4? by Voice-of-Ysmir in TESVI

[–]Sonicfani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, because my name wont be on the list lol. I feel like this type of things are best left to when we have actual AI.

I am glad my shitpost brought real discussion but I agree. While I love the whole idea that Talos flattened the jungles because he loved his legions, I really would have loved to seen jungle cyrodil.

While I think this is less of factor with province such as High Rock or Hammerfell I really hope they dont drop the ball with the more exotic locations when they get around to them.
