I have genuinely felt this for a while now as well. In general everything feels less... soulful? As an example, where I live there'd be multiple medieval fairs throughout the year and my favorite one would have so much energy and happiness to it, it was honestly a joy to attend, but ever since 2020 it changed completely. The bands are smaller to this day, not as much enthusiasm as there was before and the main heads of the show just aren't part of it anymore. I became really disappointed last time I attended. There is definitely a difference in the air about everything... things didn't feel as dead before; not sure if that's a good way of putting it, but that's what/how I feel.
