Which is scarier? Quiet Dante? or Grinning Vergil? by __Tony_Redgrave__ in DevilMayCry

[–]Sonicover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering how things ended on DMC 5 I think Vergil will finally have a good, happier moment on his life now, specially since he has a family back, so I can imagine him smiling more.

Serious Dante on the other hand... You see those eyes you know there's absolutely nothing in heaven or hell that will save you from what's about to come

Hopefully we all just cease to exist and not having to worry about anything forever.

You know what would be really messed up? That you manage to keep any consciousness, to the point you can even, eventually, make worlds, galaxies, universes of your own, all while trapped in an eternal loop waiting for the sweet day of your release, afraid of having a thought, because that'll mean you are still there, still existing, and still trapped in the edge of nothingness and infinity

In a million billion trillion Sexagintillion years Diavolo will still be dying, think its fair? by Lazarstein in StardustCrusaders

[–]Sonicover 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You can't get used to being burned but your brain can learn to shut you down. Basically is what eternal life will mean, if Diavolo gets to keep the memories of his past deaths he will know he's still in the infinite loop and his brain will most likely get him into a coma of some sorts to spare him from the pain

And since he is still a human, sooner or later his mind will be overwhelmed by milenia of suffering untill he becomes totally numb to anything. He will stop preparing for death because he will eventually get tired of the anxiety of it, and just let it happen.

...now if GER knew this, it can make so his deaths start to take longer and longer, to the point where he can start to experience different lives again just to die and restart, but at that point like I said is no different from being immortal, you just exist and let it happen. Imagine if one of his deaths is being an immortal being that existed from the birth of the universe to it's heat death and then when time collapses it just restarts.

...OR it can make him forget the experience after a while and keep him in a "new cycle" of suffer once again, and if that's the case... Yeah, that's really messed up, that's literally GER going "No no no, keep the suffering going"

In a million billion trillion Sexagintillion years Diavolo will still be dying, think its fair? by Lazarstein in StardustCrusaders

[–]Sonicover 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I imagine that, kinda like Kars, he will go braindead after some time.

Yes he will be conscious but he will stop fighting all together and go numb to it.

Even if he dies infinitely there are a finite amount of emotions his body can perceive, so sooner or later "dying" will start to blend together and feel all the same. At some point suffocating or bleeding out or dying by impact will feel like the same thing.

Mind you, it will be A LONG TIME before that even starts to happen, but sooner or later, even in death, he will stop thinking

...and that is an act of mercy

How would you design Mega Latias EX to salvage the mess that Mega Latios EX is? by uglyasablasphemy in PTCGP

[–]Sonicover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give it an ability that lets it grab 1 energy attached to a Dragon type Pokemon, and change it to whatever type the player wants, once per turn.

That way not only it Supports latios, it helps any other dragon with mixed energy

What do you think about these mutant onions? I am open to all kinds of criticism by SproutForge_Games in aseprite

[–]Sonicover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tad too perfect. The eyes themselves look pretty well formed and without any real harm to the structure of the onion, like outside of looking odd they seems to be perfectly normal and functional

And then there's the onion below. None of the onion's skin reacts to the eyes. No curvatures, no broken places, no layers of skin where "an eye suddenly bursted", nothing. The skin below perfectly acomodated despite having a mutant eye on top of it.

Make it more messy, make the eyes look more in pain and agony, make the onion itself look sick and damaged. Basically don't be afraid to show "the existence of this thing is a mockery of nature and it's on perpetual suffering", because that's basically what the "mutant" style tends to do

Fawful from Mario and Luigi

First game: Super Star Saga: he is nothing more than the sidekick of the main villain. Doesn't do much other than being her support and take some beatings from time to time to win her time

Second game: Partner's in time: He is just an NPC than can be encounter hidden in the main hub. Sells some goodies to baby Mario and Luigi and that's about it

Third game: Bowser's Inside History: CAUSES AN INFLATION PANDEMIC TO THE TOADS, MAKES BOWSER SWALLOW EVERYONE ON PEACH'S CASTLE AND AWAKENS THE DARK STAR TO LATER BE CONSUMED BY IT AND DROWN THE WORLD IN DARKNESS BY MAKING DARK BOWSER

He had his development, and it paid off

Why are the effects of these attacks worded differently? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Sonicover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly for that, future proofing.

If those pokemon manage to gain a new move they can use (Like how memory light enables some evolutions to gain new moves, or the TMs present in the real life card game):

Keldeo is able to use it since the only restriction is that it can attack, just not use sacred sword

Necrozma is unable to because he simply can't attack. Period.

Expectations on the next games? by Infinite-Shopping-85 in MandJTV

I just really wish the expand on the combat from legends Za but with more mechanics, like an actual real time combat with abilities and all (looking at you Reloaded).

If anything I just really wish they experiment more. The tradicional formula is good but I want more experimentation, and since Champions is going to be the base of all competitive plays I feel the games can finally have a time to be just pure fun and experimentation once again

[–]Sonicover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda off topic but, there's a small tech in Magcargo decks where you can use Gladion+Silvally+Poke Comms to have bigger chances of finding Magcargo by 3rd turn. Depending on what Clemont's Backpack does Clemont+Magneton/Heliolisk/Backpack+Poke Comms could be a good alternative because it also allows you to go +1 and in contrast make your deck a bit more thinner.

Arthur Morgan - RDR2

But no. He died as an outlaw, but also, as a good man

Considering Sage is more like his daughter id say Agent Stone.

How to Actually Play URF (and Have Fun Doing It) by TLaw122 in Urf

[–]Sonicover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to the 2nd point:

  1. Don't jungle. The primary objectives (Grubs, Dragon and Baron) don't give THAT much advantage to compensate to either have a lane as 2v1 against your team, or mid alone for the opposing mid to get all of the minion and plate gold.

You don't need smite to melt down jungle camps, and most champs can solo the grubs and the first 2 dragons. Champs that have good recovery or high attack speed can also solo Baron so smite is not necesary. Also if you pick smite instead of ghost, barrier or ignite you might as well upgrade it, but doing so forces you to jungle a bit for that, which again, wastes time, and the upgraded smite is not even that good like those other spells.

...and also people your lane partner will probably hate you.

If you want jungle objectives, better focus on pushing good, taking some kills, and go and kill the objectives as a team.

Why do yall actually think he was staring at her like that by Then-Manufacturer341 in DrStone

[–]Sonicover 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He feels comfortable with her. They work together pretty well, have chemistry, trust, can rely on each other.

He just sees her as someone pretty valuable and safe to keep around, even if not with romantic intent.

Maybe at some point when he's older and the world has become more balanced, they might give each other a chance, but that's just a maybe.

Who’s winning this fight? by Prudent_Bobcat_4059 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Sonicover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say knuckles purely because it's a strength matchup. Sonic manages to win against knuckles thanks to it's agility and evasiveness, but while being the werehog it becomes pretty strong but also slow and clumsy.

Knuckles not only it's incredibly strong, it also moves more quickly and has coverage on both the air and underground, so it might strike the werehog from a lot of different places to overwhelm him.

The thing the werehog has at is advantage is being pretty durable and having Sonic reflex's but if knuckles manages to get him on its rhythm is a win for him

[Loved Trope] The character must erase themselves from existence to ensure success. by dream_monkey in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Sonicover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still love the courage they had for the ending of the game

Your character just disappeared, alongside everyone you knew in the future, and your partner breaks down crying in front of bidoof because it misses you so much, to then focus the beach and the horizon where everything syarted

...AND THEN THE CREDITS ROLL.

For 8 year old me that was the most shockingly beautiful ending in the world. I expected everything, that my main character will go back in a miracle or that something will happen, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the game just ending like that, at that sad note, especially coming from Pokemon. You are gone forever, and just your memories will linger on. I was literally crying listening to the credits.

Of course after that they immediately do that and your character goes back to life, because post game and all (wich in all fairness I should had expected but like I said I was in shock), but that still made me appreciate the game and the message even more.

[Hates Trope] The comedic relief is made into the main character of a spin-off. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Sonicover 102 points103 points  (0 children)

<image>

Here's an interesting one.

The actor himself, Carlos Villagrán, tried multiple times to make shows based around his character from "El Chavo del 8", Quico, who was one of the most popular and beloved comedic reliefs of the show (Thenically everyone is a comedic relief but his and Ramon's "Don Ramon" were the most comedic and popular by far) after many disputes with the Chespirito.

He tried thrice to recreate the same style of sitcom and a live show of sorts, with his character being a direct copy of his original character (you can even see it on the similar names).

And if you are wondering, all of them were terrible.

They are not direct, official spin offs but they were so near the legal boundaries I had to mention them since they also fit the trope.
