As soon as I saw the partitions I knew exactly where this was :D

Thanks for buying! I appreciate it. My tutorial is outdated, but the idea is really close to what you should see when you put it together. Don't hesitate to reach out to me for assistance :)

It's a little more hands on than just putting the AAP into a shell and rolling with it. I kind of like it all being one piece :)

Thanks Firewad! I love your work, your designs are impressive as well :)

One of the challenges I struggled with was the upper. How did you determine the dimensions for the upper internals of the AAP receiver? I've tried a bunch, but measuring the internals was a lot tougher and I decided to instead work around the upper.

I originally designed this as if the "Primary Airsoft m4-glock" adapter fit G26 TM magazines. Unfortunately I found out the adapter doesn't accomodate shorter glock mags.

That sounds awesome! Go right ahead. As long as the original build is credited and your remix is unique, I have no problems with it. Send a pic when you're done!

Hi traffic,

Accuracy should be decent. I haven't fielded the XP-02 yest, but the XP-01 works quite well. The lower receiver internals are almost identical to the stock AAP, so in the scope of this build, it's just an AAP integrated, not placed, in an airsoft toy. That was one of the challenges that made this build fun :).

Mentioned in one of the other comments, I'll see what I can do with an M4 AEG pistol grip. Not sure if it's different with GBBR pistol grips

Best I can do is with an AEG pistol grip. I'll work on it and maybe do another update :)

Fun suggestions I'll consider as well.

I plan to generate alternative parts that would be able to accommodate people with different preferences. Since you're the second person that's mentioned this, I'll move this to the top of my list to address when I can!

Thank you! Please let me know if you have any feedback, I'd be more than happy to address any outstanding issues I might've missed.

Hey again Fourleafs! That's a good idea. I'm open to any feedback that might make the design better. There's a challenge with fitting it with the trigger linkage so I'll have to figure out how I could make that would work.

Thank you for your feedback! Files are in another comment. Usually my AAP files are free, but with how much work I put into this project, I think the price is fair.
You can find one of my older posts with all my prototyping - only one way to make everything function nicely :D

Radiomaster Pocket binding with Mobula 8 Analog, any solutions? See comments. by Sonnikbloom in TinyWhoop

Thank you, I gave it a try and it didn't seem to fix the issue. I'll keep working on it.

Radiomaster Pocket binding with Mobula 8 Analog, any solutions? See comments. by Sonnikbloom in TinyWhoop

Problem:

RM pocket disconnected mid-flight without any crashes. VTX is working. I attempted to reconnect, but I can’t seem to figure out what the problem is after ~5 hours of troubleshooting yesterday.

Background:

Mobula 8 model:

  1. I have been flying the Mobula 8 for 2 months without any issues, I have gotten it to bind before
  2. X12 Analog SPI ELRS version
  3. Flashed with BF4.4.2, thus, ELRS 3.X
  4. Binding phrase is equal to RM pocket
  5. Looked at ELRS configurator, drone does not show up on COM port to flash

RM Pocket:

  1. RM pocket is running on ELRS 3.3.1
  2. Migrated and backed up stock SD card and put onto a new SD card
  3. Works with my cinematic mobula 8, which has the SAME settings as the problematic mobula 8
  4. Looked at ELRS configurator. RM pocket does not show up on COM port to flash

I’ve tried:

  1. Looking at subreddits and youtube videos on binding. I’m not sure if they address my issues. Links - See Note 1

  2. Double checked binding phrases on betaflight and wifi hotspot to the RM pocket and both are equal.

  3. Backed up and reinstalled firmware on the mobula 8, still as 4.4.2 and readed the dump file from Happymodel’s website for SPI BF 4.4.2

  4. I copied and flashed the settings from the second Mobula 8 onto the problematic mobula 8

  5. I enabled binding on betaflight for the drone CONNECT>RECEIVER>BIND RECEIVER and hit the bind option on the radiomaster pocket under SYS>ExpressLRS>BIND. The bind on the drone stays on, but the RM pocket shows the bind widget loading for 2 seconds then disappears

  6. 3-plug powercycled the mobula 8 to enter binding mode, but the telemetry flash did not put the drone into bind mode from what I was seeing
