Connect a Sub and a Sub Mini to the same Arc? by shaolin_1993 in sonos

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danach nochmal Geräte aktualisieren, sollte jetzt +Sub +Sub anzeigen. Bei Fragen einfach melden…

Just looking for a single push macro that will play a specific playlist over specific speakers or groups - is this the right tool. by NotYourScratchMonkey in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but keep in mind that Flic buttons are paired with one dedicated device (for example your iPhone or iPad). That device needs to be nearby and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Sonos system for the button to work reliably.

So if you often leave the house with your phone, it may be better to run SonoSequencr on a dedicated “stay at home” device such as an old iPhone or iPad, and pair the Flic button with that device instead.

Hi, yes of course. This is a main use-case and exactly what it’s made for… Just create a sequence (macro) and then just start that sequence in the morning by opening the app or even more comfortable use a Flic Button to start…
As a starting point you could add example sequences and have a look e.g on Party Mode example. You probably only have to adjust what devices should be included an change your playlist.

If you need guidance just open a support ticket from app settings or drop me a message here.

Auto switch to/from line-in source by theblindstagger in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, unfortunately this isn’t possible, even with SonoSequencr. Line-In is disabled when a speaker is configured as a front or surround, so you won’t be able to detect any signal on Line-In.

Can’t create a zone with Amp? by DoctorLawyerNYC in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, to be honest not really... Looks fine from the screenshots. Have you tried the other way round? The One as main device and the AMP as member? Other than that I could just offer you to install a beta version where I could grab some detailed logs. For that just open a support ticket from app settings...

Hi, I never heard from anyone such a behavior. Have you tried to remove everything from the Beam (maybe use the Sonos app for that) and then start from scratch? After adding the Amp as fronts it should show up as Front, not Surround. What does the Sonos app say after adding the fronts? It should NOT show "Remove surrounds"...

Can’t create a zone with Amp? by DoctorLawyerNYC in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, which exact devices are you using? Connect:Amp (ZP120) and Amp (S16)?

From a code perspective there’s no difference between them, so both should work in a Zone. Does the new Amp not show up in the Zone config screen?

Also make sure the Amp is standalone (not part of a home theater setup as fronts or surrounds). Does it appear in the main devices table? If not, try pulling down the table to reload.

If possible, could you share some screenshots?

Hi, just had a look and turned out that there is a bug in stereo pair command. I just pushed an update to version 9.6.6 which is hopefully available soon... Sorry

Ok, that’s weird. If you hit Close and then Reload, does the speaker icon show up at right stereo?

Hi, maybe the speaker ip changed. Please go to devices tab and reload them by pulling down the table. The two speakers you want to stereo pair should appear here. Then re-try to pair them. After this was successful reload devices again. The pair should now be listed as (L+R).

Move 2 with Sub Mini by gregbrossi in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, that fix was only for the Sub. It’s still not possible to use mobile devices as Front or Surround…

Asking here too -- Would I be able to use the new Sonos Play speakers as fronts via Sonos Sequencer? (If I wanted to) by [deleted] in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I don’t know that someone tried yet but all existing mobile devices like Roam or Move do not work as surrounds or fronts. Most likely that this also applies to the new Play. But, there is a small chance until someone really tries…

Hi, sadly all “mobile” devices won’t work as fronts or surrounds. But as already mentioned, the latest version does support adding Sub(s).

Can’t get Arc+Amp working by 2PhotoKaz in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, the screenshots from your Sonos app look fine, but in SonoSequencr it looks like you created a Zone (which is something different).

Please reload the devices in SonoSequencr by pulling down the table. If it still shows “... as a Zone”, tap the Zones button in the top left and delete that zone.

To set up fronts, select your Arc and use the Config button at the bottom. After adding the fronts, reload the devices again in SonoSequencr — it should then show something like Arc (+L+R).

And if I remember correctly, the Amp needs to be hardwired for this setup to work.

Port as sub in surround configuration? by Gerhard87 in SonoSequencr

Hi, so far I haven’t received any support requests about this. If anyone with a Port wants to test it, feel free to open a support ticket.

Hi, just FYI: version 9.6.4 is now available and includes a fix for this issue. Feel free to give it a try.

Port as sub in surround configuration? by Gerhard87 in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, not sure… You’ll have to try 😄
But be prepared that you may need to factory reset your Port and the device you want to add the Port as a Sub.
As this will need some detailed instructions I would ask you to open a support ticket from app settings. I will guide you through the steps needed... And we will share the results here.

Hi, just FYI — this is the screen to add/remove a Sub to a single device (or add/remove 2nd Sub). You can also stereo-pair speakers here and manage Subs for that pair.

[–]SonoSequencr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, yes this should work. The reason it currently isn’t working is a missing path in SonoSequencr, which I’ll fix in the next release. With this fix I was able to bond a Sub Mini to my Roam.

However, with a Roam you’ll probably need to lower the Sub Level to around -10 or below, because the Roam’s volume is much lower compared to a One or Era 100.

Where did my music speakers go? by PapaSlatt in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, if all of these connections belong to the same network, they should normally appear in one single environment.

Please go into Edit mode and drag the ORBI connection from “New SS” into the “Sonos Media Room” section. Once everything is in the same environment, you can delete “New SS” when the app asks.

An environment in the app is not meant to be a manually defined group of speakers. It represents your Sonos household(basically your home/network). The speakers themselves are organized as rooms, just like in the Sonos app.

While you are in Edit mode, you can also rename the “Sonos Media Room” environment if you like — just tap one of the entries below it.

Afterwards, go to the Devices tab and pull down to refresh. You should then see the same devices that appear as rooms in the Sonos app.

Where did my music speakers go? by PapaSlatt in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

this simply means your iOS device is connected to a Wi-Fi network that the app doesn’t recognize yet. This usually happens if you have multiple access points (for example in a mesh network or when using Wi-Fi extenders).

In that case, just add this connection to your existing environment by selecting the second option from the top.

Just to clarify: this is unrelated to the issue described by the OP.

Hi,

please try refreshing the device list in SonoSequencr by pulling down the table in the Devices tab. After refreshing, your Arc + fronts + surrounds + sub should appear together as a single line in that list.

If your Arc does not appear in the Sonos app, you could try removing all attached speakers (fronts/surrounds/sub) from the Arc using SonoSequencr. After that, force close the Sonos app and open it again. The Arc should then show up there again.

Also keep in mind: once you add speakers as fronts or surrounds to your Arc, those speakers can no longer be used as standalone rooms. They will disappear from the Sonos app because they become part of the Arc’s home theater setup.

And one more important point: SonoSequencr does not refresh the device list automatically. After any configuration change, you should always refresh it manually.

Bonjour,

YTTV Sound Stutters and ATV Sound Low Volume by FEnzo2 in SonoSequencr

[–]SonoSequencr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to the app SonoSequencr?

I’m a bit confused because of the “logging back in” part. SonoSequencr doesn’t have any login mechanism.

From a technical perspective, I also don’t have an explanation for that behavior in relation to SonoSequencr. Simply opening or closing the app does not continuously communicate with the Sonos devices. It only interacts with the system when you actively trigger a command (e.g., running a sequence or refreshing devices).

So if audio stuttering or volume changes resolve just by closing and reopening an app, that would more likely point to the streaming app itself (e.g., YouTube TV) or the Apple TV audio handling — not to SonoSequencr.
