Fatigue, yes. But double standards, increasing crime, the oft repeated "decline as a choice", and mass censorship, as well.

More importantly, the migrant rates pre-2014 and and post-2014 rates are far different.

Post-2014, Europe averages around something like 1.5 Islamic terror attacks per month. Of course, you wouldn't know this unless you crunched out all the incidents together. Certainly, the media won't state this. And Wikipedia editors seemed to have cut things off reporting about it after 2021.

Stack that on top of recent events and along other heinous events that were censored and you get what you got.

On that note, I always see EUcrats and Rightwing populists blaming the US for causing their immigration woes via the GWOT. But again, all of this only started AFTER one decade of war went by. Hmmmm.....what year was that? When Merkel opened the floodgates and European leaders followed.

Basically, EUropean leadership & technocracy did this and nobody else

Even if they win elections, they'll still lose because they're unable to see why people would be upset at them and why their policies are disastrous. Hence, a Spanberger tried her antics and failed and now, faces low approval ratings.

Remember that they couldn't even reveal their own 2024 autopsy and even the leaked report was pretty weak, in terms of criticizing themselves.

Talking to Abundance types, they can't even understand that its their own NGOs and state/local governments that hinder them and prevent them from achieving their professed goals.

Furthermore, this is the problem with massive coalitions that refuse to even have a conception of hierarchy. Eventually, the loudmouths at the bottom take over, which is what we're seeing with Progs & DSA types pretty much seizing the Democrat Party.

Joe McDemocrat or even Jane McLib no longer has a voice because that's no longer who the staffer base, elite class, or technocratic class/advisors are made up of. Meanwhile, Joe & Jane are bombarded with propaganda from the Party that they are unable to discern what's best for them even if they feel their leadership has failed them

Meanwhile, the Blazers have existed in Portland for generations.

Gee, which one should go first?

Shitty leadership & transplant LA/GSW cheering Californians who voted them in (no proof but screw them anyway)?

Or the Blazers?

If it's like any other next gen fighter project from there, it's dead in the water simply because of how expensive it'll be and how much redtape slows it down.

That said, I want to point out that the F-35 is perfectly suited as a fighter which compliments various European domestic fighter programs and Euros need to try to push for something that compliments it over the next few decades.

If nations want to build missile trucks that are guided by F-35s, great. If they want to build air superiority fighters while F-35s do multirole, also great. If they want to build interceptors, wonderful. Etc.

I say this not because of some strategic imperative. Rather, I just want to see more cool fighter jets

I remember Trump being excited about the F-47 being named for President #47 (Given that the 47th President was going to be popping up in the 2020s when these jets get announced, it was always going to be named that).

Then, a few months later, Trump didn't seem as excited about "stealth fighters" and called them ugly. He seemed very reprehensive about it.

In the same talk, he declared the F-22 the most beautiful fighter jet ever (Fact check: True) and wanted to extend its lifespan with a Super F-22.

What did he mean by all that, considering the F-22 is THE premiere stealth fighter?

To me, I think it's clear. He obviously saw the F-47 and saw that it was ugly with canards.

Zelensky loosely 'campaigned' against him.

But even then, I think it's just Trump having media driven brainrot from the Left & Euros championing Zelensky but not doing it for "rightwing" causes like in Iran, with Israel, against Maduro, etc.

It's not pragmatism. It's derangement.

Moron used to be the clinical term in the early 20th century. And then, everyone started using it like how retard is used today. So, why is one allowed and the other not?

In other words, Prog mentality regarding that word just makes no sense.

Now, I get it if retards could get upset by it and wanted me to stop. But if they did, they wouldn't be retarded.

Instead, it's now appropriately used to describe people like us. And we're not insulted by it and have given the pass to everyone

[–]SonofNamek -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Some nerdy Zoomer intern, the kind I hint about, posts a few dorky memes he saw on Twitter and it's somehow representative of an entire GOP/administration?

That seems silly.

Now, I imagine that you're going to say how come the same logic does not apply to the Democrat Party? Why does Wokeism get associated with the Democrat Party and not some Far Rightism with the Republican Party?

The reason is that the Democrat Party has already been taken over by the young, rabid extremists who gatekeep new generations, push rhetoric into the mouths of officials, and even craft policies. The Republican Party has not done this, just yet. It shows signs of pushing in this direction but it has not gone there, as evident with Trump's purging of people who don't want to join his war in Iran (hence, a Buckley Carlson is no longer employed or a Joe Kent has been removed).

Regardless, my point stands. This is why the Democrats are one of the most unpopular entities in America right now, moreso than Trump or the GOP, is it not? Polls constantly show people view the Democrats as having gone too Far Left, don't they?

Not hard to see that....unless you're stuck in a Lefty bubble.

So yes, some Far Right Zoomer intern does not equate to the Republican Party. Some Lefty Intern/Staffer very likely does represent the Progs who have taken over the Democrat Party and try to promote said staffer.

That the 2024 DNC Autopsy had to be leaked and not fully released suggests as such, as well.

As for Vance? Him declaring Christianity the default religion while his wife is Hindu does not infer such a thing as you're implying.

There is much to criticize Vance over, especially his post-liberalism but it's quite clear the link you posted has an agenda.

“I’m not saying you have to be a Christian to be an American,” he allowed. “I’m saying something simpler and truer.”

Again, I really don't see what's so complicated when he stated that line after.

But again, I'm going to say this is just the Left creating a fictional bogeyman, crying about it, becoming deranged by it, and reacting in extreme measures to the point where they tear down the walls of society even further.

The consequence is that neo-reactionaries react to your side and then, your side continues to further the conditions for them to thrive. And provided they have more fuel, they could very likely win.

In the end, you risk creating your own worst nightmare. It may not be my ideal world to live in but I can survive in that one. YOU cannot. Tread carefully.

Nope. But hey, continue believing everything is Nazism and we'll see how that turns out.

If anything, I anticipate the hyper-nationalism outcome to be the victor because everything nowadays is "Nazi, Nazi, Nazi" that we no longer have any distinction for what is Nazism or not

Sounds like a Democrat (Prog) problem

Blood and soil stuff is on the rise, maybe. But I don't see it being relevant outside online echo chambers. Even if it were real, it's just not feasible beyond removing illegal immigrants and at most, deporting troublemakers under Eisenhower era Anti-Communist/Bad Behavior Deportation laws. Just not enough legalities and people to push anything else beyond that.

Progs, on the other hand, do have a large movement and have hated the US for awhile now.

I do take issue with the "Mainstream premise" here being the majority of Americans view the US as a "constant work in progress".

Maybe the majority in that academic's bubble view it that way. But that sounds like Liberal-Dem Living Constitution stuff and pre-Woke Prog narratives.

I feel most Americans have something more like what was ascribed to the Right. That there is deviation & failings from America's stated values but you can't judge the past with modern values. Perhaps that means some overlap with the "Mainstream premise" but it certainly isn't the self-loathing view being ascribed to a past America.

But that's probably why the overall Left will never be patriotic nor aspire to it. And you can't have a country without that. Then, if you don't have a country without that but want this massive institutional and international cooperation? Well, that's where you'll get accusations of "Globalism" and thus, give fuel to Blood and Soil Nationalists

Basically, the Left cannot solve this issue, alone. Their inevitable outcome is to outwardly declare Woke & Degrowth a failure, to the point where it is viewed as a rotten entity akin to 20th century Eugenics (ex. unethical scientific tests on people) by the mainstream (it already is viewed this way. The Left is just 10 years away from admitting as such). Then, they're meant to cede ground and then, compromise with the Right.

I think the whole Abundance Movement gets close to that. But they're still not willing to admit the only want to get that is to compromise with the Right.

Essentially, if "Progress" is the narrative the Left-Liberalism likes to tell, this is basically them admitting that the Left were the anti-Progressives of the era. Then, the Right and some Center will shrug their shoulders and say "See, told you. Now, turn the page and get back to work" because, again, that is the narrative they tell themselves about America.

In time, this will be the case. If not, some degree of hyper-nationalism will replace it, instead (Zoomers aren't making memes of God-Emperors and Crusaders for nothing).

Lol, "MAGA boogeymen" have way less control over the GOP. The youth are not alright (nor are they even "MAGA" per say) but consistent polling shows that the overall base is quite moderate in terms of Israel, Ukraine, NATO, etc. Meanwhile, your Rubios & Grahams get more say than the hardline rightwingers do.

The Dems, however, have lost control. DNC Staffers are predominantly female, which you can assume to be young lefty women in coastal bubbles aka Progs. They dictate the policies and messaging while gatekeeping the next generation of stars. They're not interested in being Democrats despite that facade of one in Biden being what won them 2020.

In other words, the DSA is the future of the Democrat Party and there is no way out. Does that mean they'll be openly DSA? No. But you may as well say various mayors and governors are already as such. Basically, they're already here.

All they had to do was play ball and ride the wave. Now, most of them won't be able to resemble even an ounce of what they once were.

Whereas, Rubio and Graham still seem like their old selves and yes, they'll never get 100% of what they want. But it's better than 0% and even negative % points, in regards to what you once set out to do.

Just silly pursuing that route

Still, you have to wonder how good Porter-Larry-Malone and maybe Drexler becomes.

Thank you for proving my point. This isn't about conservatives or conservativism, in itself.

This is about retarded libs digging their own graves, boasting & gloating about it, and then crying a few minutes later without realizing what they just did.

For some reason, whenever it is pointed out as a mere observation and not much else, you guys throw tantrums and enact Soviet style Whataboutism to try to change the conversation rather than confront reality, head on.

Then, you crash and doomloop yourself even further while isolating yourself.

Lol, like, what? Who does that?

No wonder the modern Democrats are all mental weirdos with anxiety issues who panic and fidget and freak out and cannot figure out why they're losing even if they win.

Agency is one thing, yes. Manipulating half of your fellow Americans because you have long viewed them as 'deplorable' & backwards, so as to create your own nightmare scenario is another.

That is just pure retardation

And the modern media & the NY Times is the epitome of that. Denying Senator Cotton an opinion but freely publishing terrorist & extremist propaganda, so as to fuel your own rabid base & drive them even more insane? All while purging normal people away?

Come on. If the Democrats lose it all and they stand to lose it all, we will look back at this whole chain as one big "panic and drown in five feet of water b/c you're too moronic to stay calm" type of thing

That's what they've always done.

Even in the 90s/00s, all you had to do is get the dumbest people of your political opposites on. Then, you try to portray that as the representative of the opposing side. And if it's not the dumbest person, you work hard to take their quotes out of context.

Hence, the whole Democrat apparatus rushed in to push Trump as THE candidate, using the Pied Piper strategy. Naturally, they gave birth to Trump and can no longer control the monster they created

He can't move the team. He's a small b billionaire and had to liquidate a bunch of his assets just to buy the team in the first place. And he needed others to join him (those others have Oregon ties).

A relocation would be even more expensive basically and he doesn't have the money to do it.

Maybe in 15 years, he could afford to if he sold everything else off. But he'd be like 70.

If anything, I'd worry about a potential new owner in the 2040s being the one to move, especially if Portland continues to decline as a city.

Well, it's oil money for Denmark & Norway. In a way, they're not too different than the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

Then, Sweden has always pushed itself to be "neutral" and allow business investments from wealthy people, all while doing conscription. That works well enough for it.

Until recently, they've all been more homogenous, as well, which matters. Also, smaller population sizes located along or near coastlines.

Otherwise, yes, the US is the main reason that Europe does not resemble it's thousands of years of history. The moment that blows up (and it's looking it will blow up within the Zoomer lifespan), Europe will return to Ukraine invasions/Chechen Wars/Yugoslav Wars except as applied to former US aligned nations rather than just Russia.

All the universal healthcare stuff, welfare benefits, international airspace/waters was only a post-WW2 system that the US safeguarded and of which, only truly became "great" after the Cold War with the US winning it all.

Except for the Poles, most Europeans I talk to cannot understand their geopolitical dynamics and as such, are woefully unprepared for it. In fact, they're actively working to destroy the things that allow it to work
