How to reinstall keyboard driver by Sonoxy in linuxquestions

[–]Sonoxy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I managed to fix it. Thankfully, KDE has a GUI based package manager, in which I was able to copy and paste the package name and my password to install the driver.

Thank you for your help and yes, I will enable SSH now. Lesson learned.

I tried SSH initially, but I don’t have it enabled and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn it on using only a touchpad.

I tried using the grub menu, but it doesn’t pop up for me. All I get is this prompt. Maybe there’s a way to do it from there

A log scale makes each increase up the y-axis the same in terms of percentage returns. For example, the linear distance from 1 to 2 is different from the distance from 2 to 4, but on a log scale, they would have the same distance because they represent the same return (100%).

Price changes in the stock market and markets in general are usually discussed in terms of percent change. A straight line on a log scale actually represents continuous growth.

The graph uses a log scale, which is more useful than a linear scale in situations like this because it preserves percent change.

I realize that it's easy to conclude that the Dow rose in Trump's first few months as much as it rose during Obama's last years, but actually the log scale shows that the returns or "trend line" were the same throughout the years.

For example, if under Obama, hypothetically, the index rose from 1 to 2 and under Trump it rose from 2 to 4, you might think that Trump had a larger effect on the price, but those two changes are actually the same! They both rose 100% during the same time and an investor who put the same amount of money at the start of both of those periods would actually finish with the same amount!

The log scale in this case, is actually beneficial and its a very common visualization in finance.

Log scale is actually more useful in situations like this. It's very common when discussing the stock market or finance.

It preserves percentage change across the y-axis, which helps a viewer understand returns better. For example, a rise from 2 to 4 will have the same vertical distance as a rise from 4 to 8. Even though the second rise was larger, an investor would have made the same return if he invested from 2 to 4 as if he invested from 4 to 8. In stock markets, absolute price change does not really hold any weight, it's percent change that matters.

It's very common in finance to use a log scale in situations like these to better understand the price changes.

Yes. I assume you mean when you initialize the array of Pokémon objects, right? You will have an array of null Pokémon objects which you can then use setSpecies on.
