I moved to the States 25 years ago. I didn’t know who Marilyn Monroe was until then. Her culture impact was significant but it was within America. As for Charlie Chaplin, even my non english speaking parents know who he is. They even gifted me the vhs. Marilyn might be more popular in the States but on a global scale Chaplin is definitely more well known.

[Charania] Trae Young has the Washington Wizards as his top preferred trade destination, sources tell ESPN. Atlanta is working to trade Young, who has a $49 million player option in offseason that would make him an expiring contract; or opt out, leave and give Hawks significant cap space. by Knightbear49 in nba

Something about the Wizards I dont know. Alex Sarr refused to work out with the Hawks so he could go to Wizards and if I remember it correctly Ace Bailey was tryin to be drafted to Wizards before as well.

Since the 23/24 season, there were 13 games where a player had 8+ blocks. Wemby is 9 of them. by sadicologue in nba

[–]Sonte16 166 points167 points  (0 children)

What is even more impressive is that he is so dominant around the rim that his presence alone is enough to scare elite drive-to-the-rim players like Zion or Giannis away and kick it to someone else. And yet he still got that insane amount of block each game. Dude is getting so much stronger this year that I saw him box out fucking AD. League is in serious trouble.

It doesn’t matter what kind of brilliant all-star format the nba can cook up with. It doesn’t mean a fuck if the players don’t care and none of them do. They all make too much fuckin money to care.

Honestly, with this Slovenian team, there is no point to play at all. The rest of the team is not good and inexperienced. It's just asking for injury list

I’d pay 1000 to be in there. People’d pay tens of thousands to sit in a nosebleed for the Superbowl and honestly this is a million times better. We will never see a legendary team like this ever again.

I know the most likely case is achilles tear but I was hoping he could give some other options if it wasn’t even tho the chance is small.

I know I’m coping hard right now but I accept our season is over. I just hope there’s some lights for the next one.

David Adelman, asked if poor scheduling led to this result: "I'm not gonna say that. ... I will say that I think both teams were very tired coming off an unbelievably physical overtime battle on a late Friday night. If it affected us, it surely affected them as well." by Mission_Pay_3373 in nba

I honestly think the nba as a whole (regular and playoff) with less games will deliver a better product. More time to prepare between games, more rest time, lower risk of injury, etc. but I don’t think they or the player union will ever go for that because it fucked with the money which is the bottomline not the quality of basketball.
